  1. What are they, your advice is welcomed.
  2. My fender / mudguard arms were already broken when I opened it up ?
  3. “I got it one piece at a time, and didn’t cost me a dime, you’ll know it’s me when I come through your town” looks interesting!
  4. Is that the Heller one? Finished one myself a little while ago. Did yours fight you most of the way like mine did? looks good!
  5. Hi Allan, I didn’t know that, I’ve got some old Aussie Hot Rod mags tucked away, I’ll look into it. And yeah, I had such a time using the metal dizzy and sticking the wires to it that I was terrified to try and bend them so they’d look right. They look a bit goofy like they do. Thanks for the tip. Peter
  6. Hi All, finished this one today, first attempt at plumbing the motor, not perfect but I’m learning with each build.
  7. The Humongous rules the wastelands.. love it
  8. Looks good, I’ve got this one in my stash to build.
  9. Having just fought Heller’s Bentley together, I sympathise with you and say well done, looks good!
  10. Thanks Tom, I’m trying to establish what bits are missing from Dads. Dad had a 1:1 BRG bug eye in the early 60’s, your racer looks neat.
  11. Sorry to hijack the thread for a moment, I’m restoring a Gunze Mk 1 Sprite for my dad, do any of you kind gents happen to have a copy of the instruction sheet I might have a pic of? I believe it was the edition with the yellow car on the box. thanks in advance! Peter
  12. Shawn, your craftsmanship on this Falcon is outstanding.
  13. Really awesome job, love your period correct NSW plates.
  14. Bugger! I don’t know why I thought that was a chrome strip on the side, thanks for the info. I put a vinyl top on it like a 68 ZB Fairlane 500 four door sedan my folks had back in the seventies.
  15. I’ve yet to try foiling itself ? but that sounds like a brilliant idea. Thanks everyone.
  16. Hi All! Finished this one on the weekend, built from the AMT / Ertl issue of this kit. I didn’t have the courage to try and paint the ‘FORD’ or ‘Galaxie 500’ badges. Thanks for looking!
  17. That split window Vette combo works really well! It reminds me of a Bugatti Type 57 in a way.
  18. That’s some real craftsmanship, looks great.
  19. That’s a cool looking cobra, I like it.
  20. I like that Dymo idea! Argh your killing me lol, I should have looked it up! Having said that, I’m having fun doing this one, but thanks for the link! I guess if I totally destroy mine I’ve got that option to fall back on.
  21. Hi Espo, I ended up getting the colour matched so I’m going to paint it like the picture. I have a loooong way to go before the body is ‘right’ I’m struggling with the new door lines. I got the reference pics from a member in the paint thread (thanks SfanGogh!)
  22. Hi. I’m going to try to build a replica of my Grandad’s ‘56 Chevy 210 sedan. It was an Australian delivered 6 cylinder, 4 door sedan. I’m using a Revell Chevy Del Ray as a start. It may be beyond my abilities but you don’t get better by not trying new stuff. As you can see, I need tips on scribing the new door lines.
  23. Mr. SfanGoch Sir thank you so much for these links, I’m gonna try my hand at converting my model to a four door, I’d always (incorrectly) that the four door must have been a touch longer.
  24. That is an infinitely better representation of the colour, thank you I’ve saved that for my colour matching attempts
