  1. Nice and slick! Well done!
  2. Nice! Great job on the paint and graphics, I like that "smoky" look.
  3. I like it! The NASCAR wheels look like they belong on that car, well executed.
  4. Nice job! It does look very good in black.
  5. Very nice! Great color and paint job!
  6. This whole build hits the WOW factor, but that steering wheel cap, ?!!!!!
  7. Thanks! Me as well, it's a simpler kit, but I'm really liking it. The tires are the kit tires. Thank you Francis! I appreciate that. Thank you! Interesting, I am assuming they are a little more detailed and/or give a little more modern look?
  8. The best thing about the Tamiya sprays(assuming that's what you used) is how thin the layers are, but with some colors that becomes a weakness. Definitely a lesson learned with the gray primer, light color-light primer. I also don't envy you on that foiling job, very rewarding yet very challenging as well.
  9. That is a beautiful piece of work! Outstanding in every way!
  10. Very nice! Definitely has that old school look.
  11. That's a mighty nice looking Charger! Great job on the interior, too. The Arctic Blue Metallic is a beautiful color. That's what I used on my first build in over 20 years, a '67 Chevelle SS396, and I had the exact same problem with the panel lines on that one, even with gray primer.
  12. Looking pretty stellar so far. I'm liking the wheels and the stance. The flat black painted sandpaper actually makes a pretty decent looking scale carpet, and I like the two-tone seats, they give a real nice contrast. I love the color too, but I'm a bit surprised that it's camel yellow, it's definitely more orange than I would have thought. The Camel Yellow I initially sprayed on my '71 Hemi Cuda was much more a true yellow, but I had to cover it with Daytona Yellow because I ran out trying to get it to cover over the gray primer.
  13. I definitely want to see that one when you're done! I'm going the Pro-Touring route with my orange one. I bought a Cowl Induction hood from Lex's Scale Modeling and I'm putting in the LS motor from a Revell SSR kit, along with the bigger wheels and tires from my Revell '67 Chevelle SS396 Streetburner kit. I'm not sure if I'm going to start that one next though.
  14. Working on this one for a build-off for a tips and tricks Facebook group. Color is Model Master Honduras Maroon and Tamiya TS-38 Gunmetal. I didn't think the Maroon was going to be metallic based on researching the color on Google, but I was hoping it was. Upon spraying the first coat, I knew I was going to like it. I was originally going to go with black for the fenders, but I knew if the body color was metallic I would go with the Gunmetal. Progress on this one has been pretty fast as it's a fairly basic kit with not a lot of parts or detail, but I am liking it so far. I'm also going to go with the Dewey, Cheatum and Howe decals on this one.
  15. Well done!
  16. Looks great! Very nice paint work!
  17. Looks awesome! Great job!
  18. I wonder if it's something that happened to the mold recently. I am certainly planning on buying more to do some different colored stock versions.
  19. Yeah, I just went ahead and fixed it because I figured I was going to wait a while for the replacement. Good to know they're not all like that, I got mine from Hobbylinc.com. And yes, the Cragars definitely had some flash. It was pretty tricky getting the outside of the rim trimmed without trimming too much off. Luckily, I think I did a pretty good job. Like I said though, despite the excess flash and body flaw, I loved building the kit as the parts fitment was great. I certainly will buy and build more as that's my favorite Camaro body style.
  20. I agree. I did fix the original body as well as the orange body I bought at the same time.
  21. That's exactly what it looks like to me too. Quality control isn't what it used to be, lol. The head scratcher to me is that the return address on the package is from Leonard Cousins Round 2 LLC, so Leonard, or whoever put the body in the box, didn't look for, or notice the obvious flaw/issue?
  22. Yup, the orange one had an issue in the same spot. I fixed the issue on the Motion body and built the Gumball Rally Yellow Camaro with it. I also fixed the orange body, but haven't built that one yet
  23. I just laughed when I unwrapped the bubble wrap and saw the same molding flaw on this body that was on the original body from the kit. I'm not complaining, just kind of wondering if they're aware or want to be aware of the flaw in their molds. It's the AMT 1970 1/2 Baldwin-Motion kit, and the AMT 1970 1/2 Z28 kit that obviously is basically the same mold has the same issue. Makes me wonder if the "new" 1970 Full Bumper Camaro is basically the same mold and that's the reason it's release has been delayed, that they finally "discovered" the mold flaw and are finally going to try to fix the issue. In no way is this going to stop me from buying more AMT/Round 2 kits as there are too many of their kits I want to build, and I will probably still buy more of the Camaro kits, as I really enjoyed building the Motion kit and it went together really well. First pic is the kit body, second pic is the replacement body from Round2. I'll end up fixing this one too, I just had to laugh and had to share.
  24. They both look sharp! And they absolutely fit right in with that scene of the early 90's. This one in particular came right to mind seeing yours.
  25. Great job x2 Snake! You've got a real knack for bringing these old builds/promos back to life. One day I hope to do a tribute build to my very first glue kit, but only better, lol.
