That looks pretty spot-on! I love that body style and have owned two in my younger days, a white one that got street machined and a black one that was left factory stock.

The Clear Orange over Bronze on the spoon looks fantastic!

Like Carl and Mike said, paint looks good to my eyes. I kind of like those Krylon Short Cuts paints, although all I've used is the Flat Black and the Gloss Clear.

Thanks Chris! I use a "homebrew thinner I got from another builder, it's 3 parts distilled water, 1 part isopropyl alcohol, and a few drops of glycerin as a flow improver per 8 0unce batch to help prevent the tip from drying. I actually haven't had a problem with the paint coming off while masking. I do mix some Gloss, Satin, or Matte Varnish (depending on what parts I'm painting, see pic below) with the paint to help prevent chipping and rub-off during handling. Acrylics generally don't stick well to bare styrene as I quickly found out at first use, but I prime every part that needs paint regardless of what kind of paint I'm using, so that's not a problem. Also so far I've used Tamiya TS-13 Clear, Krylon Short Cuts Gloss Clear, Decoart Varnish, and Pledge Floor Gloss as clears with no problems from any of them. I've not tried Testors Lacquer or Enamel Clears yet, but one would think the Lacquer Clears would be OK since the Tamiya is. I've also seen a few builders use 2K Clears over craft paints with no problems. That stuff's just way too caustic for me though.

Here's my version of the Revell Foose FD-100 Pickup. It's a really well done and nice fitting kit. The only thing I would change is the metal axle for the front. It would have been nice to have pins for the front wheels, which would eliminate the need for a hole through the oil pan. I painted mine in a custom mix of Chroma Molten Metals Copper and Decoart Extreme Sheen Obsidian craft paints airbrushed on for the main color. The top is a custom mix of Apple Barrel White, with a few drops of Apple Barrel Khaki, and a drop or two of Delta Fleshtone, also airbrushed on. I cleared it with Krylon Short Cuts Gloss Clear, and gave it the wet-sand, polish, and wax treatment. For the interior, I painted the dash, and upper door panels with the Dark Copper. The door panels, seat, and steering column were done in the Cream color, the carpet area in Apple Barrel Nutmeg Brown, and the inner seat is Apple Barrel Honey Brown. The engine carries the same color scheme as the body, with ignition wires added for extra details. The frame is Dark Copper as well, with an Aluminum transmission. The suspension parts are Anita's Glossy Black and Aluminum, while the exhaust and transmission pan are Green Stuff World Chrome sprayed on so as to not quite be chrome. I also airbrushed the Rotors with GSW Chrome, while the rotors were painted with the Cream. To finish things off, the window trim is Bare Metal foil.

I wet-sanded the clear on Saturday starting with 3600 then to 4000, 6000, 8000, and finally 12000, then polished and waxed it on Sunday. Final assembly was a breeze and took place on Monday. I got some indoor pics this morning, but Mother Nature decided to play peek-a-boo with the sun today so I will have to wait to get some outdoor pics tomorrow. The forecast is calling for 105 degree heat index here in Michigan, so hopefully I can get some in the morning. Until then, here's a couple of teasers...
