  3. Turned out nice! I like the color!
  4. Thanks for the info, I'll try to look that up later as I'd like to do another down the road sometime. You know, I wasn't really sure at the time of the build, lol. I just treated it as a panel with a bulge to contain the spare tire. With Rusty's info I will probably go back and touch it up with some Rubber Black paint.
  5. Thanks guys! Thanks Kurt! I'll have to print one up when I get more ink for my printer! Thanks Bill! Mainly luck, lol. It's a gloss lacquer clear that I wet-sanded from 3200 up to 12000 grit, then polished with Novus #2, and finally waxed with Meguiar's Cleaner Wax.
  6. Thanks Bob! I've taken some outdoor pics since then, and the color really pops in the sun.
  7. Outstanding!! Superb weathering!

  10. Well done! Awesome color!
  11. I took some outdoor pics of the Cobra today and posted them in the "Under Glass" section of the Forums.
  12. Here's my version of the Monogram Shelby Cobra 427 S/C. I entered this one in this Forum's Cannonball Run Year of Birth Community Build. I custom mixed Chroma Molten Metals Copper with Delta Black craft paints and the stripes are Anita's Gloss Black craft paint, all airbrushed. I used Krylon Short Cuts Gloss Clear from the can, and wet-sanded, Novus polished, and Meguiar's waxed it for a shiny finish. I used the gauge decals from the Revell Streetburner Cobra kit and hand painted Molotow Chrome around the bezels. I used the wheels and tires from Revell's Dom's GTX kit, painted with the Anita's Glossy Black. I somehow lost the steering wheel, so my Ferrari Testarossa parts kit supplied this one. Shelby Cobra's are my dream car, and this is the second one I've built so far. The kits are pretty nice and pretty much look the part. I've had lots of fun building both. I included a couple of pics of the two Cobra's together, and the last two pics show the difference in lighting between indoors (2nd to last pic) and outdoors (last pic). I hope you enjoy the pics, and thanks for looking!
  13. Outstanding!! Beautiful paint job, nice details, and great looking wheels!
  14. Well I finished up my Birthyear Build "Copperhead Cobra". Hopefully I can get some outdoor pics tomorrow, but here's a few indoor pics for now.
  15. The 'Vette engine looks great in there, and superb work on the grille, I like the look of the mesh behind it!
