Two things actually. Never was into punk at all, but THIS is a hell of an album. And I discovered this band through an Evanescence search on Pandora. This is symphonic metal. A great metal band fronted by an operatic mezzo-soprano. very unique and dramatic.

Well I sorta cheated on mine. Since it's a custom, I had no issues at all with just whipping some ruby red on them and calling it done. I think you did a very good job on yours.

Good news. My work trip to WA has been cancelled. So I will be spending more time at the bench. I've decided on the gloss rootbeer brown for the Pacer with a tan interior. I'm still puzzling on the roll bar. It's gonna have to be the tightest roll cage I've ever done and painted to match the interior.

I'm in a local model club. I've told my wife and kids to keep what they want, the rest goes to the club. At least then I know they will end up with builders.

In my opinion this is a pretty versatile kit. You can do a lot with it. 1/24 scale is tough but there are engine options that will help fill that engine bay and most oversized wheel/tire combos look right at home there. I like what you've done so far.

Not a bit. We have a section on this forum for Community Build Projects (CBP) where people join to build cars together with a similar theme. I'm involved with one based on the Cannonball Run, where we all build something we'd like to race cross country in. Each year there is a secondary theme, and this year it's "sleepers". All you have to do is post up a picture of your starting kit or pile-o-parts and get to work. As long as you aren't too far along on this build (more than 25-30%) you'd be welcome to join. Historically about 25-30% is average, however we picked a great theme and it has pulled in a lot more builders. We'll have to wait and see. Personally, this is the eighth consecutive year for this CBP, and in that time I've completed two racers. Last year I didn't even get the kit open. Life happens. Here's the years and the themes of our past Cannonballs. The first four were on the SA forums. 2008 - unlimited 2009 - unlimited 2010 - route 66 rundown 2011 - 30th Ann Cannonball Run/ '81 or older After that we moved here. 2012 - American Graffiti / '62 or older 2013 - unlimited 2014 - Honoring Brock Yates/ '79 or older 2015 - Sleepers 2016 and into the future? - Yeah probably

Got a build day in today as the wife was outa town. It's all also one of those days where you got a LOT done, but it doesn't really look like it on the model. Motor mounts and tranny cross-member scratched. Molded radiator cut out and another with a electric fan fitted. Engine in it's final location. Going with baby moons and old school rubber. Modified the front suspension to allow the engine to fit well. More soon.
