  1. Very cool! The color, the attitude, the workmanship................exemplary.
  2. Guys, I've decided not to "mock-finish" this one for pics guys and have this in the dip now. I really want to get this one done with a few others for contest soon and I don't want to spend the time. Looking forward to seeing everyone's work on race day.
  3. The body and the hood is in the dip. Since I used just rattle can enamels it shouldn't take too long to strip. The trunk is in good shape with just the skull and crossbones so I'll keep that one. Then I will spend some time re-preping the body and then I will repaint the black and the rough map shape but no dotted lines this time. I will print decals to represent the map and the compass rose. I will also try a lighter shade of tan for the paper. The only thing I will add with a paint brush is the dark worn/oxidized border on the paper. More soon.
  4. Using the aforementioned Cougar chassis (page 1) I built this movie replica from this kit. I think it was the release with the three sets of tires and a few custom parts. I believe it did have a pony interior, but the inner door detail was poor and the seats are awful. I ended up replacing them from the parts box. This was the release I used.
  5. Yeah, they seem to have done four and then some sort of behind the scenes/extras episode based on each build. I watched five minutes of the first one and then deleted them from the DVR. I watch Overhauling to watch the car being built, not to watch people yammer in a camera.
  6. For me it was the 1980's and The House of Hobbies on Main Street in New Port Richey, Florida. For a kid with the limitations of a 20" bike it was the only show in town, aside from my local Eckert Drug store which also carried a few kits. HoH was a great place, short on organization but long on selection, assuming you could navigate the place without getting buried. They carried everything we needed. I hear it is still open in a different location but I never get into that area of town.
  7. Nice work. I two toned a '67 like that myself. I like it a lot.
  8. That has a very authentic look. Well done.
  9. Color me impressed. Very cool.
  10. You had me at "sinister". Looking good.
  11. Very cool paint work! I like it!.
  12. I gotta agree with Pat. Reality TV seems to be the measuring stick of the fall of American society. I can't say that I watch any of it. I watch a few TV dramas, Big Bang Theory, the Voice and Velocity TV. That's about it. I am a big movie watcher though.
  13. I'm using the new format which is quite good once you get used to it with Chrome.
  14. That looks fantastic. Great colors.
  15. Alas the '49 is headed for the purple pond, but I am restarting my '37 Ford roadster rat rod. More soon from me.
  16. LOL. Glad too see you wandering around these parts Jim.
  17. I think it's gonna be awesome. I have always enjoyed fenderless late 30's rods.
  18. Perfect!
  19. That looks great Nick! One to be proud of. Jim, I have another in the planning stages.
  20. Wow. That IS impressive.
