  1. Welcome! I like your work.
  2. Good thing it's got that wing. I'm sure it gets squirelly at speed.
  3. I really like this. What a beast!
  4. Yes, the removable top was a must for what I wanted to do to the interior. It seemed silly to super detail the interior on a chopped vehicle and not have a way to view the work. I look forward to whatever you're sending Rich, with thanks. Carlos thanks for asking but no, I have no plans for anything like that, no sails (although the roof insert was designed to resemble sailcloth), cannons or other over-the-top additions. The idea with this was just to have a theme and to build something that could in fact exist (and drive) in 1:1 if someone with some imagination and no taste ( ) were to build it. Nothing too cartoony. Okay next up will be masking off and painting the window trim (on the glass inserts) gold. Get Bones painted up and into the back seat, and start some detail painting on the treasure map. Design the compass rose for the hood. More soon.
  5. I had a good day at the bench today. The skull & crossbones came out well I think. Getting close to completion I'm thinking.
  6. Well with Niko getting all decaled up I just had to get it rolling. I'll let it set a while and hit it with some clear tomorrow. After that - whoo, I might be near done. Imagine that.
  7. These thumbnails aren't opening into larger pics for me. Anyone else?
  8. Nothing too fancy.
  9. I like the Revell '68 Vette. L-88 hood scoop A well cast 427 with options. Front and rear suspension that works well in older vehicles.
  10. The exhaust from his Offy exits the passenger side fender Ira. Other than that, I'd agree with ya.
  11. I'm building a 1/24 Camaro muscle car that I want side pipes on, and I really hate most kitted side pipes. Who has made their own and how did you do it? Styrene, aluminum, brass? How did you do the bend at the opening?
  12. It has a great authentic look. I like it a lot.
  13. Very cool.
  14. Heck Virgil if I could find a scale parrot you bet I'd work it in there. I'd add a brass bar to the back of the seat. Thank you and everyone else for the kind words, it means a lot. That's why I love themed builds so much. Because its limited only by your imagination and artistry, it doesn't even have to be "mechanically possible". Just cool. And by the way. I have another theme build in the planning stages. I can't wait to get rolling on it.
  15. I have been jumping from build to build too much. No completions in the last 14 months or so but 5 or 6 at 75% done.
  16. Working on my Cannonballer guys, more on this soon! Richards steins are perfect. Gonna put one in the front seat cup holder and one in the hand of our skeleton in the back seat.
  17. Yeah, I'd be down for one.
  18. I agree completely.
  19. First, welcome to the forum. Second, I wanna see more!
  20. Awesome work Sven, I love 'em!
  21. That sure is pretty. Nice job.
  22. I have nothing to do with 99.99% of the builds on this forum, but I'm still free to comment just like the rest of you. Sorry I didn't know I had to be part of the "team" to add some input. I barely have time for my own projects let alone something like this. I never said it's wrong. It's just going every which way from a design stand point. I'll leave you guys to it now.
  23. I think you guys have quite a mess of styles here. The body says traditional custom. Engine says street machine, wheels say budget hot rod. Somebody pick a theme and stick with it.
  24. I think we'll all agree the 80's was a "unique" time period in hot rodding. Monochromatic, pastel paint colors, flashy graphics, billet started to show up and pro-street was the word of the day. Show us what you built from that era!
  25. I think the biggest styling improvement that could be done is with the headlights. I'm looking forward to this.
