Mike, this really is a treat to watch. Keep it goin'.
More work on the '49 interior (pics tonight). It is fighting me on every turn. Everything I do ends with a screw up and has to be done twice. I have to repaint the rear package shelf and working on my eyeball shift knob. I added photo etched door handles and window cranks with some model master clear only for it to yellow on the flat white door panels. This will most likely not end up being taken to any future contests. I'll just be happy when it's done.
Looking at the wheels in the flesh, they don't look as bad as I thought. Maybe with the kit chrome stripped and some Alclad, they might be very nice.
So it looks like the only real disappointment is the lack of drag wheels.
This, boys and girls, is what happens when a Dodge Challenger and an AMC Pacer mate. I'm not sure I like this Bruce, but you sure are good at what you do.
I have always found chops on the 30's cars so very difficult to pull off well because of all the raised body lines around the window frames. It's really hard to get in there with sanding sticks and get the job done right. I think you did an admirable job.
I dont think so Ace. It looks like a flat plate with three smaller bezzles poking out. The only one that looks like it might be a lamp is the center. Ill look at them again. I'm going to use the stock units anyway as I've always thought they were great, but I thought I might use the custom ones on another build if I could figure out how they are supposed to look.
