  1. Hey Jim that is really very cool. That is a very troublesome kit and you really made something neat from it. I especially like the bed treatment.
  2. We have quite a few folks here in their teens. And some that aren't but still act like it, myself included. In either case you are in good company here. Excellent point Drew.
  3. I did some BMF on the '49 tonight. This is not going to be my best work. The engraving around the side windows is so shallow the blade keeps slipping. It will be a cool shelf model, but it'll never see a contest table. Pics after it gets some decals and clear.
  4. I scored some kits today at a local swap meet. All four for less than $30.
  5. Caught this at a car show today. There was so much out of the box thinking I had to get some shots. Enjoy.
  6. I'm kinda surprised you had issues with the Duplicolor primer. I've been using it for years with no trouble.
  7. I'd like to see you toss it in a box, slap some postage on it and send it to me! That c-cab looks groovy! I love it, keep it going.
  8. Outstanding! Fantastic work! Easily one of the coolest rods I've seen here lately.
  9. Your best bet is finding 70's magazines I think or just check out the box art for Revells Hot Rod series.
  10. Does it make me shallow if I say I like and want both? I got into the latest contest annual and man it made my week. I love winning awards at contests. I work hard on my models to make them the best I can. If they are recognized either by folks here on the forum or by awards it gives me a complete warm and fuzzy. Yeah I guess it does make me shallow, but I really don't care. As a character flaw, it's pretty minor.
  11. How did that happen?
  12. Without a pic my first thought is a couple of a couple of aluminum sleeves?
  13. Sorry to hear that Neil. Best of luck to you getting things rolling again.
  14. Well the few things I don't care for about the kit, are vastly overshadowed by the things I do like. I'm looking forward to adding this to my stash.
  15. Besides I haven't finished mine yet.
  16. That is just stunning. Fantastic work!
  17. Fantastic work. Glad to have you here.
  18. I think you should keep this open indefinitely Virgil. I think the genre keeps popping up and people show interest. The new Mad Max: Fury Road film coming up will stir interest yet again. And as long as there are zombie movies and TV shows people will build vehicles to crush them. Just my $.02
  19. Wow. Man that is just about as nice as it gets. Great traditional rod, build exceptionally well. The '49 is gorgeous too.
  20. Hey good to see this back on the bench! Looking good!
  21. I dig it. It has a fresh off the salt flats look.
  22. Please do! I'd love to see what you come up with.
