  1. Mike............that................looks..............utterly................fabulous. Color me impressed.
  2. For a while it was PC games, but that monkey is dead. Like Glenn, perfectionism slows me down. When it's not coming out right or I can't find seats to fit my theme. Having a good place to paint right now is a big problem, I leaves me with just doing rat rods and weathered rides. At least 5 models on hold 90% done until I get a place to lay down the glossy.
  3. Nice work. We don't see that one too often. Good color combo.
  4. Bring it in the house. It's probably gassed out quite a bit so odds are it won't smell much.
  5. Thanks Casey. How bout it Jay?
  6. Thanks very much for being open to feedback. Looking forward to seeing this done. You obviously know a great deal about these derby cars and their construction.
  7. Super clean build dude. I love it.
  8. That looks like your best bet.
  9. Looking for cone shaped beads to use making megaphone headers.
  10. I was at the end of the aisle and his female parental unit was looking at something along the wall. The entire time he was speaking to me, she never batted an eye. This is very true. He wasn't using a rude or petulant tone of voice, just questioning something he thought odd. I shared it because I just thought it was kinda cute.
  11. I just pulled the body from my convertible kit to see close up, that trunk. Under no friggin' circumstances would I have attempted that disection. Yep, trunk closed would have been all right with me. Once agian Bill, my hat is off to you. I'll be following right along.
  12. I really like where you are going with this, but I gotta ask, if you are going through all the trouble of adding weathering and extra detail why would you skip doing the easy stuff like sanding seams (tranny pan) and injection pin marks (timing cover engine support). Weathering and detail are great but it is the clean build that gets the most attention.
  13. Printing plate? I'm diggin' the good work.
  14. With the heat/humidity we are having all over the county, we might have a lot of primered cars on the starting line. I'm in the same boat. The body work looks great, but I don't want to risk having to repaint.
  15. This guy is single handedly keeping Alclad in business.
  16. So yesterday I'm perusing aisles at Michaels that might not normally see a lot of traffic of the male variety and I hear this voice. "Hey mister!" I look down to see a young man about 13 years old. "What's up?", I replied. "What are you doing looking at this stuff for? It's for girls!" I smiled at him and said, "Yes I know, but beads also have other uses, that guys might like." He looks at me rather dubiously so I began to explain to him all the cool uses we modelers have found for a variety of things in the bead aisle. After five minutes, he says, "Okay man, whatever." and walks off. Ya know..........................I don't think he believed me.
  17. That really turned out. Nice work.
  18. Thanks Wayne. Looks like I'll be there after all. I'm not sure if my stuff is up to snuff on a national level, but it will be fun.
  19. Unless we see exactly what you have accomplished, it would be very hard to recommend anything.
  20. Outsatnding! I'd love some engine close ups.
  21. It seems like this build is happening on a wing and a prayer and with the contributions from some of the excellent people here. The kit - traded for through this forum. Ditto the wheels/tires. I don't remember through whom but I thank you. The engine from - Ace-Garageguy. Exhaust goodies- VW Dave decals- sstacey47 This for you guys. More soon! [media=]
