  1. Keep it going. Go slow. Make it perfect. You are on the right track. I'd sand all the body lines smooth and then remake them with half round stock. That would keep it clean.
  2. My favorite Bond film and one of my favorite car chases. Wonderful job.
  3. Wow. That looks vicious Zen
  4. You do good work sir. Well done.
  5. Engines...........no. But I've seen my fair share sporting a Ford 9 inch rear end.
  6. I build for myself and to enjoy on my shelf, BUT I do compete. Each new model makes the rounds of the few contests I attend once. If it wins great, if it didn't, it obviously didn't deserve to. However, I'm still happy with it. But because I compete, I do try to built to a compedative level. I have written a post about the very thing you are experiencing and rather than post it over and over again for these situations, I just put a link in my signature line. Check the Walk Then Run link below and you'll see a discussion about your issue. I think it will be enlightening.
  7. Thanks guys. I wanted to get more done today, but alas...............life. Paint soon!
  8. It's gonna have a blower and dual 4 barrels - what sorta thing should I put atop the carbies. I have these staggered velocity stacks, some ratty stacks of aluminum, and this bird catcher scoop. Opinions?
  9. Wow, that sure is sharp looking. Well done.
  10. Finally a day off. I've been cleaning and spreaying parts little by little for a few days so some assembly is god for soul. The chassis is painted in a Krylon color called Hammered Finish Steel. It looks a lot like the powder coating I have seen on a lot of hot rod chassis'. I know the IFS on this one is a little out of place on a rat rod, but no one has shown me the rat rod rule book yet so I'll wing it as always. I did trim off the molded springs and replace with some coiled beading pins. Gonna do some engine work here shortly and will be throwing some primer on the body. More soon.
  11. Yep. And finally it's a day off. I'm not in great place right now for building so my pc desk serves double duty.
  12. I love the originality! And the excellent workmanship. Keep it goin'.
  13. I have the same edition as this Mike. I'll be following along and see what is in store for me. I like your choice of wheels.
  14. It's not chopped enough!
  15. I lost many models over the years but this is only one I have a photo of.
  16. This sounds fantastic. Good on both of ya. What scale are you planning?
  17. By the way guys, of those going, how many of you are going to compete? I'm sorta on the fence myself. This would be my first national show.
  18. Have'nt seen you around much Zed, we've missed seeing your work. I love this paint job.
  19. I don't really have any style. I just sorta throw some parts together and see what happens.
  20. One of the nicest build ups of that kit I've seen. And I'm totally in love with the wheel/tire combo.
  21. I'm not much into racing, (and frankly want to cry seeing all that vintage sheet metal all hacked up) but I'm enjoying this. Looks great.
  22. Hmmmm.
