  1. Can't wait to see this happen, gonna use the bubbles from the Monogram '58 Tbird?
  2. I really kinda irks me that we have to buy a new kit to enter. I have about six of those on the list. I mean if we sent pics of the unstarted Revell kit along with our completed entry it would validate that we started from bare styrene right? Seems a little greedy to me. And with a 40+ kit stash, it's hard for me tell the wife I need another for another online contest. Especially with money so tight right now. Maybe next year.
  3. Yeah, very nice. If the tail lights weren't so gunked up on the 79 I'm building I'd definitely try that. Gonna just paint the whole lense red I'm thinking.
  4. Real nice work. Seems kinda high though.
  5. Lemme get this straight, you have roughly 24" wheels and want to lower the vehicle?
  6. Still going on this although the wheels looked nasty close up after the chrome was removed. I never noticed until I threw some primer on them. Working in a trade to get another set. More pics soon.
  7. Videos.....hmm. I guess pics are too passe'?
  8. Oh I approve! Very nicely done.

Great work Jim. It's nice to see this one done up a lil different.
  10. Can any GM buff here tell me whether the scoop on the '79 Z-28 (Monogram kit) was functional or was just aesthetically pleasing?
  11. Love this. Very authentic. Let's see some more!
  12. Truly amazing. You're attention to detail on just the doors is inspiring.
  13. Stasch, I'm not having any problems so far. The front suspension is lowered and I'm real close to the final stance. I think I'll take it down in the back about an 1/8th of an inch tops. The V10 fits perfectly with only moving/altering the tranny mount. Paint will be flat olive green like the F-Bomb with some bomber nose art on the doors.
  14. Don, right now I'm in a very small place with no room for a work bench per se. My pc desk does double duty I'm afraid.
  15. Started a new project. Here's the WIP thread. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=38495 And my bench But guys that's not half as cool as what my 17 year old son has in the works. This is a Revell Prowler with the front & rear fenders from the Mongram 40 Ford pick-up. It's beyond cool.
  16. I wish I knew why, but a parts box build or a serious kit bash gets my creative juices flowing like nothing else. I had plans to start another project, but when I noticed this bagged incomplete kit I put the other back on the shelf. Most of this kit is the Revell-Monogram 79 Z-28. Wheels and tires are from the Mustang Mach III concept, the engine (sorry Chevy guys, but this is a parts box build after all) is a Viper V10. Not much scratching or stuff just a great stance and some attitude. This is my inspiration, the F-Bomb Camaro. Here's where I am now. More soon.
  17. Maybe it's time for another CBP Virgil? Maybe see if Tommy May wants to get involved again?
  18. I'm really starting to like this Scary Jerry fella. My kinda people.
  19. Just two for me this year, but that's a good year for me.
  20. A bit eh? Keep it goin'. I wanna see where this leads.
  21. JUst two this year. But I'm pretty happy with it.
  22. I'd love some better photos. Check on the macro function in your camera's how-to book.
