  1. The Cuda in Nash bridges was a hardtop. The show cut the roof off to make it a convertible clone.
  2. Queen " live killers" Rainbow " finyl vinyl " Black Sabbath " live at last And " live evil" If I remember correctly, the first Kiss live album wasn't live. It was put together in the studio to give fans a feel for what a live concert would sound like. In a interview with Gene Simmons, he said ... " the only thing live on that album was the drums".
  3. I have built a few of these ( my first glue together model as a matter of fact in 1971 ) I have 2 in the stash right now.
  4. Got this yesterday, from of all places, wal-mart. $24.95 My Walmart never had models before, so I was "shocked" to see them there. Had my wife not been with me, I would have bought all four that were there !
  5. Yea, the have 4 more... but not for long. My wife was with me when I purchased mine, so I couldn't "hoard" them all. But, she won't be with me tomorrow. L O L !!!
  6. Just got mine today ... at my local Wal-mart ... and they never had model kits before . Total price ... $ 24.95 !!! I don't care for the two piece styrene drag tires, but the rest is all "groovy" ! According to the box, the release date was 10/ 13 / 21 , but I haven't seen them until now.
  7. Not sure, but I believe the Chevy Suburban was the first " utility vehicle". Released in 19 39 ???
  8. Judas Priest screaming for vengeance tour. I had seats up front right hand side of the stage. Couldn't hear for 2 days after. Other Noteable shows I have been to... Black Sabbath : seen them twice, without Ozzy. Ozzy: blizzard of ozz and killer of giants tour Def Lepard with Billy squire as opening band. Iron Maiden. I was forced to go... I hate Iron Maiden . Ted Nugent : awesome show, but I don't remember what tour . 1985 ? As for Blue Oyster Cult, I saw them in 1984. They couldn't hold a tune to save their lives !!! It seemed to me, that the whole band had been drinking all night and/or, hadn't practiced in a year . Very dissapointed . The Gratefull Dead : Telluride Colorado 1987. I was there for 3 days and don't remember most of it ..... hade a great time !!!
  9. Possibly custom "kitbashed" by the owner. Pre-hydraulics so my guess is a Marion power shovel, mixed with a Insly model K . ( both pre 1940 ) Just a guess though...
  10. Ok... I first learned to drive my Grandfathers 1950s Farmall tractor in 1970 ( I was 4 ) My first real driving began in 1973 ( when I was 7) was in my Grandfathers 1970 Diamond Reo dump truck. We used it twice a year to haul stuff to the dump 14 miles away. ( we always seemed to bring more stuff home than we took there ) it had 2 gearshifts, and you needed 4 hands and a trained monkey to shift it. I drove many vehicles when I started high school. ( 1981) but I DIDNT have my license yet ! I finally took my drive test in 1983 in my mother's 1973 Ford Econoline van. ... passed on my first try 95% correct. ( the guy giving the test dinged me for not turning on my turn signal while backing out of the parking spot ... what ?!?!?!?
  11. Right back at ya Scott ! Would trade with you anytime ! And the postal race to see who would get theirs first was fun too. ( we both got our kits delivered at the same time , so the cross country race was a "photo-finish". )
  12. Maybe the prices are in "Yen" ? .... "Pesos" ? Are there really that many " stupid" people out there ???
  13. Just completed a trade with JunkyardJeff Would trade again with him anytime!
  14. Thanks for posting these. Its amazing what you can build with a little imagination ...... and spare pipe..... and a few bicycle parts ...
  15. I also received my parts from Thatz4u Always a pleasure to do business with him !
  16. Ha ! Got my stuff from Modlbldr today too. You sir, ROCK !!!
  17. Let me know when your ready to get rid of the van. I will trade you something for it.
  18. It's my understanding, that the entire car was stolen.( it was being transported on a truck from point A , to point B . The truck arrived at point B , but the car was gone.) If the transaxle is for sale, I believe its stolen, and the seller probably has the rest of the car.
  19. In my Grandpas 1970 Diamond Reo dumptruck. It had 2 gearshift levers and you needed 4 hands, and a trained monkey to shift the darned thing.
  20. I have always enjoyed the decaling portion of a build .... I kinda find it " soothing" It's also the most frustrating part of the build. Yea, I know , I'm contradicting myself.
  21. That Javalin add gets "First Prize" !!!!!!!!!!!! Now I want one ....
  22. I have been building models since I was 5 years old. (1971) My first 30, or 40 kits were not good, to say the least. By the time I was 10 I had figured it out and had around 150 sitting on my shelves. By the time I was in high school, I figure I had built around 500. But then I discovered something. People would actually PAY me to build stuff. From 1985 to 2010 I had built around 2000. These were the high detail kits you speak of. I now only build for myself ( customers suck.) And only truly detail about half the kits that now cross my bench. I have slowed down a bit and in the last 20 years have maybe completed 150 ??? So, overall, I have built approximately 2550 models.
  23. I kinda like it. Maybe if you "squared" off the rear fenders a bit ,to better mach the front, it would be good? Gotta lose the spoiler tho ...
  24. Been trading up a storm with Sam I am. Never a bad moment when trading with him ! ... Now ,... if only he would stop coming up with stuff I CANNOT live without ...
  25. Pretty sure the Tom Daniel's "Rattler" had a slant 6 in it . And, its previous incarnation the "Horn Toad".
