Glue Bomb Makeover: '68 Motion Performance SS427 Corvette
spencer1984 replied to Snake45's topic in Model Cars
Very nicely done, and I really like the touch of leaving the inverted plate! -
That's just brilliant! I had completely forgotten about the Laser Jeeps, nicely done!

I missed this thread when it first came up, but I can throw a couple in now. I did one as an original... ...and one as a movie General:

Nicely done!

Wow, some awesome work on all of these!

Nice clean work, that looks great!

Plus on a personal note, I always liked the sound of "biturbo" better than "twin turbo."

This turned out great, nicely done!

Nicely done! I've experienced firsthand how fiddly these Gunze kits can be, but you've proven that with a little work they can turn out great.

Looks good, you did some nice clean work here!

Thanks, guys!

I like the look of it, if you have any more pics I'd also like to see them!

`81 Turbo Trans Am - MPC Trophy series, Year One inspired

Beautiful work, I also thought I was looking at the "inspiration" photos at first! -
Thanks, guys! I need to catch up on Fear the Walking Dead, I've only watched up through season 2 (though I've heard/read enough to know the gist of where the story is). I am planning on something less labor intensive for my next build, but was leaning towards a certain Italian horse from Florida...

Thanks! It was a resin kit by Planet X, not very complex but it went together nicely. Funny you should mention the 300s...I want to do another one of these in its Futurama trim, and thought an AMT 300 would be the perfect starting point.
-
Nice use of the custom parts, that turned out great!
-
Nice classic look to this!
-
Thanks, guys! Yeah, it's one of those kits that needs a lot of work. Fortunately, this car needs so much done to it that either it or the Revell would have been just about even starting points.

After far longer than I planned, It's done! Full details of what went into this are in the "On the Workbech" section here or available here...short version is that it started life as AMT's '72 Nova and has had pretty much everything reworked. I think the windshield, rear glass, and light lenses are the only things that survived straight from the box. Aftermarket items include parts from Model Car Garage (grille, trim, interior details), Harts Parts Resin (front seat, hubcaps), Model Car World (engine), B-N-L Resin (transmission), Scenes Unlimited (wheels & brakes), and Fireball Modelworks (door handles). Everything else was scratch built or heavily modified. Any comments/criticisms are welcome!

Beautiful job, that's a classy looking Chevy! Great job on the derelict, too.

Some awesome work here! That's my General, thanks for the share! Here's a few of my "oddball" TV/movie builds: The Car Mannix Joe Dirt Marvel: Agents of SHIELD Wayne's World

Very cool work, nicely done!
