  1. Looks great, nicely done!
  2. Here are some of mine: The Addams Family Blood Drive The Car Duel The Misery Machine The Munsters Supernatural Wangan Midnight Wheels of Terror
  3. For this year's Halloween build I made the Jimmy Gibbs Jr. car from Left 4 Dead 2. The game car is based on a '69 Charger R/T with a Daytona wing, and since time was a bit short this month I used MPC's Coca-Cola snap kit as my starting point. I stripped the chrome and redid it in gunmetal, opened the headlight doors, fixed the leading edge of the hood, used Plastic Performance Products' wheels with parts box tires, removed the center console and rear seat, raised the rear end a couple scale inches, moed the fuel fill to the right fender, added a rear panel, and scratch built the wing. Paint is Tamiya Pearl Blue and Pure White with my own custom decals. As always, any comments/criticisms are welcome!
  4. Great looking car, nicely done!
  5. Tamiya doesn't seem to go for licensed properties. This, the Goldeneye BMW, any of several cars from Fast and the Furious or Initial D - they seem like an easy payday. But until a few years ago, they didn't go for reissues, either. Maybe they're rethinking things. I know I'd buy a case of these if they ever got reissued.
  6. Fantastic work on this, that interior is killer!
  7. Nicely done, it's great to see one of these built!
  8. The don't get much cleaner, excellent work!
  9. Great looking group!
  10. Thanks, guys! I've seen a couple of replicas over the years, and when people add their own spin it's a nice touch. I hadn't seen this particular combo before and had to look up some photos...Ford wheels actually look pretty good on Jeeps!
  11. Great looking group, nice use of the duplicates!
  12. Cool concept, great execution, and I'm always a sucker for the AE86 - nicely done!
  13. Very cool custom, nicely done!
  14. I believe this is their current version of it: https://mcwfinishes.com/shop/ols/products/1960s-chevrolet-230250-6-cylinder-engine
  15. Thanks, guys! Not very, unfortunately. Tamiya released it in the mid-1990s and never again, so secondary market prices have gotten stupid (I managed to find a "good deal" and still overpaid for it). They did just reissue their Lancia Stratos kit that had similarly been out of production since the 1990s, so I'm hoping that it might be a sign that they're considering other kits as well.
  16. Built from the Tamiya kit, with a few modifications. I removed the export marker lights, then added some 3D printed parts (winch, fog lights, antenna base), a spare tire from another kit, and scratch built interior details. The paint is ScaleFinishes' Light Sand Beige with TS-8 Italian Red stripes, and the interior is TS-78 Fied Gray and TS-4 German Gray. There are a few details I would do differently had I to do over again, hopefully Tamiya is seeing some success with their sports car reissues of late and will offer this kit again. A full writeup of what was done is available here, and as always any comments/criticisms are welcome!
  17. Nicely done!
  18. Very impressive work, that looks better than the 1:1 movie car!
  19. Beautiful work on this!
  20. Sure thing! It's a Model Car World engine and B-N-L transmission with a whole lot of custom work. This is what it looked like at first: I cut off the molded-in parts and carved new details on the right side of the block, remade the oil pain, and replaced the parts I removed with a combination of scratchbuilt and kitbashed items.
  21. Very cool, nicely done!
  22. Awesome work on this, nice job!
  23. Beautiful job on this, probably the cleanest build of it I've seen!
  24. Very cool!
