  1. And I'm pretty thankful for that. Mine are bad enough.
  2. Very nice work but how ya gonna make it smell authentic?
  3. Yeah the instructions should be in reverse order if you're painting a solid plastic body. I've used the Spaz-Stix color changing paint and wasn't too impressed. It sort of changes colors but not as much as you'd think, plus I didn't like the colors that much.
  4. This GMC kit is a LOT bigger. You could almost put a 1/25 32 ford in the bed.
  5. I use a Air Elite 175X compressor with a 3 liter tank. It's so quiet you can't hear it running in the next room with the doors open. Under $100.00
  6. I just bought a Revell 1/24 scale GMC 4/4 pickup with the big tires. Wow, it's really big in comparison with 1/25 scale cars. Are 1/24 that much bigger than 1/25, or is this a fluke?
  7. I saw a modern Chevy truck with paint and chrome looking like a 57 BelAir. I had to blink a couple of times before I realized what it was.
  8. I built the Challenger about a hundred years ago, really thought it was cool.. If I had one today I'd try to really detail it and build it out.
  9. You might try Tamiya ultra thin cement. It seems to work well softening up old plastic cement enough to get things apart.
  10. Unfortunately a lot of "children" use worse language than I do.
  11. Yup, you're right, and apparently he hasn't replied to clear things up. On the subject.........how would one make broken glass for a model? I know the windshield with the tempered glass would be practically impossible but maybe other windows for older subjects.
  12. Tamiya is very good when sprayed but not so great for brushing. Try Vallejo, it brushes ok.
  13. Maybe he was looking for info on making a broken windshield, like for a junker?
  14. Yeah, I can just see myself with one of those and trying to stand up without thinking and pulling everything off my work bench.
  15. So, does Trumpeter build any American muscle cars or hot rods? The only motor vehicle I saw on their web site was a fire truck. I know their airplane kits are nice.
  16. Why can't the model car manufacturers cast thin plastic? Look at a model car and if you scale up the thickness of the hood or fenders it would be like tank armor plate. The model aircraft manufacturers cast thin plastic, some sections are translucent they're so thin. Wonder why the car people can't do the same...
  17. Very nice build. I think it does need hub caps. maybe...
  18. Hobby Lobby carries decent models............sometimes. Usually just junk.
  19. I make my own using odorless thinner and artist oil paint. Just make it super thin.
  20. Wow, brings back memories. When I was MUCH younger I ran a C gas 54 chev with a 327. Got to be too expensive to compete after a while. Being a kid really, I pretty much had it held together with bubblegum and duct tape.
  21. No, but a guy at our model club brought one in for everyone to see. Looks like a really cool kit, if..........you have any room to build and display it.
