  1. I built Italeri's Peterbilt 377 A/E around 1996, and the tyres are still like new,
  2. I need to get one of these as I've been asked to build one for a military model magazine, looks a cracking model
  3. Oh that is so nice Harry, superb work as usual ....
  4. I'm not sure that a local (To Me) would be a great success, as pointed out having a high street store cost money before you even start to sell anything, business rates, lease for the shop, electric & phone line/internet, Fuel now running at £6.30 (Just over $10.00) a gallon many shoppers are abandoning the High Street and ordering on the 'net, even buying in the Euro zone can be cheaper than buying from shops here in the U.K
  5. Just ordered this from Poland, worked out cheaper even with the postage than buying from here in the U.K
  6. Thanks for the info', I was just about to buy the top down version, and after reading your post, have just ordered the top up version, thanks again .....
  7. Superb work as usual Harry ....
  8. I'll make my decision at the end of the build, but if it builds as good as the '65 Mini Cooper it's going to get the thumbs up from me .....
  9. I haven't been into the hobby room for some time and although I still have the Porsche 356 to finish off, I needed something to get me back into the hobby room, so i pulled this one off the shelf, I've had it since September last year. I had a good look in my reference books to see just what colour I could do it, now the instructions mention a 1500, and in the catalogue it mentions the "Super Beetle" which this model is neither, it's a basic 1200, which was available in Europe until 1972 when in the '73 the 1200 had the rear wings and larger lights fitted, up until then you could still buy a basic 1200 with the smaller bumper and rear lights and they still had the older designed torsion bar suspension, I have had some VW Brilliant orange in the workshop for around 18 years with nothing to use it on, it will be used on this build. There's a few mold lines on the bodyshop to remove, a couple around the front headlamps and around the rear wings, apart from that the body is flawless, there's 6 ejector pin marks on the inside of the front bonnet which were filled with bondo and sanded smooth. The wheels and running boards were on the chrome tree and were popped in the oven cleaner and stripped of their chrome, the wheels will be airbrushed silver and the hubcap which is molded as part of the wheel will be covered in BMF.
  10. Picked up these yesterday from the Pound store, I don't use aerosols, but they can be decanted to use in the airbrush ...... And bought this off eBay,
  11. Welcome aboard ....
  12. Welcome aboard .......
  13. PM sent, I'm still not sure how (Or why) you would or could cheat at this, you either know what it is, or at least have a clue, sadly I have way too many books, photo's and reference material on the weird and wondeful European cars, when it come's to American cars, usually I don't even know the cars .....
  14. Thanks for the info' this one's going on the "must get" list, the Renault 4 was everywhere when I was growing up in Spain, as they were made in Valladolid, for the Spanish market.
  15. You may have de-blinged it, but to me looks a lot more realistic than the box art, another masterpiece Harry, love it .....
  16. Superb build .......
  17. Superb build .....
  18. Superb work, cracking paintwork and very nice detail work, can't believe that's only the second car model you have ever built .........
  19. Looking good Shay, good luck on the BMF, about time you faced your demon's ......
  20. 33 EJB was the 1964 Monte Carlo rally version, the Revell bodyshell is correct for a 1964, the seats on the real thing were not only different colours but different designs as well .....
  21. Stunning work Harry, I remember building the 1/32nd scale Airfix one many year ago ....... Dennis is still going over here, now trading under the name of John Dennis Coachbuilders.
