Looking good John! If it wasn’t for the engine in the background, I’d almost think these were black and white photos.?

Chin up Lads…there’s still lots of models that should be built, rather than wasting away on a shelf, so dig ‘em out and get at ‘em!?

Those look fabulous Misha!? I haven’t done anything like this, but I imagine it would work to glue them all to a sheet of .010” evergreen. Then they could be sanded to final shape as if it was a solid piece.

Everyday starts out with good intentions.

I think those colors will look great. I really enjoyed building this kit despite some fitment issues.

Thanks!? Glad you’re enjoying it Carl!? Thanks, but they don’t actually work properly as they are.? I first need to build a better set… then determine if I even have space for them underhood.

I have made small ribbed floor mats by pressing a large file onto a piece of styrene sheet in a bench vise.

Once my plate hits the table it stays there unless it’s the wrong order. I might complain to the waiter about the meal before leaving if it was really bad, then I’d not return.

It’s a cute little car. Nice job on the modifications, I’m sure your daughter will appreciate it.

Thanks for the kind comments everyone!?

Nice looking rig!? And nice that she hung onto it, obviously it meant something to her.

Well this one I am calling finished.? I redid the bumper twice more. First time I got some “cracks” in the chrome.? So I stripped the chrome in IPA and redid them again. Not perfect, but good enough. I dipped the front bumper in Pledge after a couple days in the dehydrator. The rear I sprayed in place with Spaz Stix clear. This is a pretty nice kit. The only real issue is that the front bumper needs to be moved closer to the grill to be accurate (thanks Dennis!). Plus the front bumper has some mold lines and sprue attachment points that need to be removed. The bumpers and grill are redone with Revell chrome. Paint is Tamiya LP-6 Pure Blue and white primer under Mr. Hobby clear. Wheels and tires are from the parts box. Thanks for looking!? Brake Line Junction Blocks?
NOBLNG replied to CaddyDaddy's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Just chop one out of some .030” or .040” evergreen sheet. Drilling it will be the fun part, but not too difficult I think. That said, I have never done full brake lines on a model yet…just some short pigtails at the MC. Steve’s idea is a good one if you have the rectangle stock.? Edit: Just made this one in a few minutes. Drilling from both ends is easier than trying to go from one side all the way through.
