  1. Contact Revell and they will send you a replacement. The below info is quoted from Bob’s (Zippi’s) thread on his Revell ‘29. I too got a replacement for one that was warped. “I got a response from Revell on my two warped windshields and this is what they had to say. I replyed to their email to let them know I needed two replacement windshields since they only referred to one.” Dear Sirs, we will send the part free of charge to your address. Shipping information: Shipping time at the moment for USA needs up to 6 weeks and for all other Countries needs up to 3 week. 2. Yeah, quite often, I have to tell myself…..move your fingers out of the way…. ‘cause if the knife slips….. Actually, I’ve had more injuries drilling holes with my spring loaded pin vise. If I’m not careful on the backstroke, it can jump out of the hole and then into my finger that I am holding the part with. I’ve done it a few times.?
  3. I too try to pin everything, assuming the parts aren’t too tiny….a .020” brass pin is sufficient. Any type of glue that won’t hurt the paint will work then.
  4. Myself….I don’t cook!
  5. Hey now! Those are all in a fixed block at the very back of my work area. ZERO chance of tripping and doing a face plant on them.?? Seriously, I think tweezer injuries (especially ones requiring hospitalization) are fairly rare in our hobby…..unlike hobby knives.?
  6. Wings are my favourite accompaniment with a few good brews.
  7. Thanks Guys!??
  8. I don’t know if you have a “smoke” shop near you, but they sell fine screens for those funny little pipes.?
  9. Shop around and don’t buy the first item you come across has always been my motto.
  10. It looks pretty well done to me, except for bumpers maybe? I’d just give it a good cleaning and put it on the shelf.?
  11. Lately I’ve been using these.
  12. I use my i-phone SE as a camera when I am out. Most of the pics I post on here are taken with my i-pad. I am no photographer but I think they both take nice pictures. It is easy to upload them to forums also.
  13. Chucked in my drill press, I used an end mill to create extra tire clearance.

    ZZ TOP

Nicely done!? Those wheels and tires look good on it.
  15. I had my tweezers stashed in a few different places. So I made this from some thin aluminum and fastened it to the underside of a shelf. They are all in one place now.?
  16. Now that is really neat!? Thanks for posting it!
  17. Sorry to hear about the issues you’re finding. Instead of putting it in a box, how about putting it in a south facing window if you have one and let it sit there? Might help the curing??‍♂️
  18. Circles’ circumferences can be calculated by multiplying pi by the diameter.
  19. Thank You everyone. I had fun with it. My quickest build too…about 3 weeks.?
  20. Thanks Carl!? No, it’s just their regular acrylic paint. The “acrylic” clear I used has hexane/ butane and other nasty stuff in it.? The seat fabric I just googled brown houndstooth fabric and downsized it until it looked decent. Printed on plain paper and cleared with Tamiya XF-86 flat clear.
  21. Nice old build Tim! The chop is very subtle, and I didn’t even notice it till it was mentioned.?
  22. Thanks Guys. I wish I had picked a brighter paint colour for it. But it turned out not bad for a five dollar (minus paint) investment.?
  23. Hi Terry. I have no experience with this kit but I have to say that assembling it by Christmas would likely be a challenge for a very experienced modeler. I would suggest being very careful and taking your time with it. You can always present it to him later…maybe his birthday or something? It does look like a fantastic kit. Best of luck with it. Greg. Edit: On page two of the Harry P thread, he talks about methods of putting the screws in.
  24. Presidents Choice products are available in the Real Canadian Superstore chain.
  25. Looks great all around!
