Wow, this is coming together nicely. Great scratch building skills on the bumper and roof rack.? That is a neat idea on getting the snorkel contoured to fit the body shape too….I’ll have to remember that one. -

Absolutely beautiful looking Mustang!?

Very sharp, clean build!?

Looking good so far Bob! I like those wheels and tires. I may have to grab one of those Foose kits just for parts.

I paint in my garage, but there is a sticky in the Tips and Tricks section on paint booths and safe ventilation.

Well I’ve been back on this one lately. There’s not a lot left to do. I got the interior finished and the floor pan and firewall are now glued in place. I finished up the front end as well with some scratch built headlights and turn signals. The radiator and fan are permanently mounted now also. I scratch built disc brakes for it from some thin aluminum and styrene bits. I wasn’t going to wire the engine, but after I did the battery and winch cables I figured it needed some plug wires at least. With the GM 14 bolt rear in there I needed some 8 lug rims, so I made some resin copies of the ones from the Revell GMC plow truck and the tires are from Scenes Unlimited. Now I need to get the windows in it and scratch build some side mirrors. The vent window divider is part of a Bobby pin.? -

Thats what the ones from Michaels are. They are weird sizes, likely meant to match eyelet or rivet sizes? If I can’t find one close enough, then it’s tweezers and scissors time for me.?

Manufacturing paint is a science. Using it is an artform. I would start with an average of the two. The best way to get the proper mix is to ACTUALLY MIX some paint and start spraying it! Competence can only be achieved with practice. A scale and calculator won’t help you. And yes, I know I am wasting my breath.
