  1. This should be interesting….especially the boat!?
  2. Wow, this is coming together nicely. Great scratch building skills on the bumper and roof rack.? That is a neat idea on getting the snorkel contoured to fit the body shape too….I’ll have to remember that one.
  3. These are the ones in the Polar Lights GTO.
  4. Beautiful job Bob! You sure seem to have that technique with the craft paint nailed!
  5. I agree, that is an excellent weathering job! Nicely done.?
  6. Super nice build! You did a really nice job on that interior, and a great build all around.?
  7. Absolutely beautiful looking Mustang!?
  8. Very sharp, clean build!?
  9. Looking good so far Bob! I like those wheels and tires. I may have to grab one of those Foose kits just for parts.
  10. I paint in my garage, but there is a sticky in the Tips and Tricks section on paint booths and safe ventilation.
  11. Well I’ve been back on this one lately. There’s not a lot left to do. I got the interior finished and the floor pan and firewall are now glued in place. I finished up the front end as well with some scratch built headlights and turn signals. The radiator and fan are permanently mounted now also. I scratch built disc brakes for it from some thin aluminum and styrene bits. I wasn’t going to wire the engine, but after I did the battery and winch cables I figured it needed some plug wires at least. With the GM 14 bolt rear in there I needed some 8 lug rims, so I made some resin copies of the ones from the Revell GMC plow truck and the tires are from Scenes Unlimited. Now I need to get the windows in it and scratch build some side mirrors. The vent window divider is part of a Bobby pin.?
  12. Are these the ones? I have idea if they were ever offered in a kit.
  13. Very nicely done!?
  14. Thats what the ones from Michaels are. They are weird sizes, likely meant to match eyelet or rivet sizes? If I can’t find one close enough, then it’s tweezers and scissors time for me.?
  15. I agree that sprue does not make a large enough test surface. A large curvy surface like spoon…….or maybe even a model?would make a far better test surface.
  16. I bought these two sets at Michaels.
  17. Manufacturing paint is a science. Using it is an artform. I would start with an average of the two. The best way to get the proper mix is to ACTUALLY MIX some paint and start spraying it! Competence can only be achieved with practice. A scale and calculator won’t help you. And yes, I know I am wasting my breath.
  18. I guess the LS is kind of like O- blood type…some folks would rather die though.?
  19. Old post, but that Krylon looks close.
  20. That is looking really sweet!?
  21. I’ve got one of these too…so I’ll be watching!? I’ve got a set of those tires too that I was planning on casting in resin.?
  22. A little detailing and it looks not too bad I think.
