  1. That does look great James! Funny, I just settled this morning on painting mine almost exactly those colours. Now I know it will look OK.?
  2. Is that not obvious?
  3. I finally finalized (I Think) my wheel rims and disc brake setup for my tubbed ‘32 five window project. ? I’ve been fiddling with it for three days now casting various resin wheel & brake rotor & caliper combinations.???
  4. Wine gives me a headache.
  5. Yes, it’s coming along nicely Pete. Love all the modifications!?
  6. It’s coming along nicely David.? Interesting treatment method for the grill…I’ll have to try that on something. Thanks!?
  7. It’s looking really nice Len. I like the new headlight bezels and contrasting fender welting. I would fix the rear wheel location. You’ve put so much work into it already. Every time you look at it, you’ll say why didn’t I fix that? JMO.?
  8. Great work on the roof Jim…it looks a hundred times better!??
  9. The vise is a good idea too. I have one and use it frequently.
  10. I like Bobs approach.? I can’t imagine being able to foil much with one hand considering how it likes to curl. But if you are determined enough, anything is possible. Maybe try one of these PC board holders clamped or fastened to the bench somehow? I know there are guys on here that use them. Good luck with the surgery and I hope you have a speedy recovery.
  11. You’re welcome Hugh. I’m happy that it worked for you.?
  12. Please let us know what that thing is like. Since my lathe quit working, I’ve been tempted to buy one of those for turning rings for wheel rims and such. I’m just wondering if it is a useful tool or junk? I have some cheap pin vises that are junk, so I an hesitant. Thanks.
  13. Can you post a picture of the mesh? Seeing the style and pattern might give us a better idea of what you’re up against.
  14. Away I go now to the modeling bench.
  15. Could you transfer the pattern to some wide masking tape and use the tape itself as the pattern? The tape may help the mesh to keep its shape while trimming. I usually photo copy the pattern before cutting it out so that I have spares.
  16. Recommended assembly procedures dictated by the instruction sheet should be taken only as suggestions.
  17. Definitely good Jim!? I would be satisfied with that stance.?
  18. Really, I’d like to open every one of my kits and glue the engine halves together.
  19. I polished my ‘49 Merc with Tamiya coarse, fine, and finish compounds. I’m not 100% sure which Mr.Hobby clear I used though, it may have been the UV Cut since the paint is lacquer. You could spray some of the Premium on a spoon or junk body to see how your polish affects it.
  20. Well the AMT version is a little worse than the real one.? And it wouldn’t take much of a shift to get rid of the tail heavy look.?
  21. Improved over box stock would describe my builds generally.
  22. I’ve always thought that Ford should have stretched the wheelbase on the ‘57 T-Bird. It kind of looks like an altered in my eye.
  23. Beautifully done Bernard!? Kudos!?
  24. Beautiful looking Belvedere! Superb work all around.???
