Mercedes-Benz 1628S
Spruslayer replied to Spruslayer's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Today i have all the parts cleaned and have started assembly. This is the first 8 steps for the frame. There was minimal flash and mold seems to clean and the frame went together straight and square with no issues Next will be the engine assembly -
Thank you all ? I wish they would have included scored lines to cut the wheel sells out like the 1on1 Was a good challenge and fun to build but I didn't like the decals Would like too do another in stock

Wile my building mojo is in high gear im gonna attempt a WIP for this one. After discovering my Trailmobile double header vans would not work with my Astro 95 i needed a single drive day-cab to put in front of the Trailmobiles. This was in the stash so even though it is a odd match for the trailers im gonna do it anyway. Everything is in a Dawn bath till tomorrow but heres a shot of the box Ill try not to write confusing stuff so bear with me if i slaughter the English language along the way

Double Header exterior post vans
Spruslayer replied to Spruslayer's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
That was the plan but the fifth wheel as i have it mounted will not go back far enough to allow the hitchpin on the trailer to go into the Fifth wheel. That makes me wonder if the KW on the box art would have the same issue as i have that kit not built yet. Looks like a reason to do a single drive daycab of some sorts ? -

This is the Amt reissue of the Trailmobile exterior post vans No real problems with this on except making the doors operate is a little fiddilie and the van mounted hitch to hook the vans together gave me fits.I dont think they are mounted right and not sure how to do it orrectly but it will work for a shelf sitter. ?

Heres my effort on the Astro 95 reissue. Overall it was a good fitting kit but the instructions could use some editing to make it easier to understand and the single exhaust option through me for a loop.

I think if R2 ,or some one would kit this truck it would be a home run./25 scale for me please!!
