Thats Rust-oleum 2x gloss Coral, the photos dont really look like the color actually is.On my computer it almost appears pink I thought the same about the steps too, took a minuet for me to realize there was none!Another point was putting the interior tub in.The instructions want you to install the tub before the lower body side panels but i was able to do it after gluing them on but it is very tight.I did that as to be able to paint the cab in on piece.I dident go real deep into the history of the truck but i was able to find several good photos to help me along with this build Thank you everyone for the kind words -

Thanks guys Some of the worst parts of this is when i broke the cab hinges then had to to do a work around with some brass tubing, then getting the shifting tower to cooperate. -

The AMT K123 built OOB This one had me on the mat but like any wraslin match i staged a comeback for the win ?♂️?♂️

Ill throw my nickels worth in this one. From a rookie view i would welcome critiques of the builds i post.Wile i build mostly OOB there are times when i am stumped to figure out how a certain part goes on a kit.If someone posted that i put part "X' on upside down,i would be grateful for the tip.I have learned far more from this forum that any other modeling forum out there. I just finished the Shell tanker trailer and there was parts i still am not sure i put on correctly. Things such as color choice i would consider an opinion which dosent take away from the skill set but i understand it may not be right for that particular subject.I will have to plead guilty to posting in the under glass section with builds that are not completely done. For me this hobby keeps a old retired guy hands busy and entertained and i really dont have a desire to produce a show winner but rather a man cave shelf sitter that you can look at and know what it represents. And wile im whining, what up with the revelry between this board and the other forum which i wont name. Spreading love, not hate woudl help this entire subculture hobby top to bottom in MHO!❤?

Great looking build! -
This Revell 1628 S went together very well with minor flash to remove.I like the way the cab tilt works allowing it to sit on the chassis square on the frame Cons for me was the rear fender mounts and the wheel to axel mounts Otherwise i had fun building this to put in front of the two 27' post vans So back to the bench for me.

Moving steadily along i have some color down on a few things Everything is fitting together fabulous so far,the only setback was my fault when painting the wheels. A little superclean soaking put me back on track -

Gotta say i don't like the wheel axle mount ,not sure how i will deal with that More parts on frame and have the engine and some sub assembly together -
Don't have a trailer plan at this time. The original plan was to put the Double Header post vans with it but the fifth wheel on the Astro 95 have other ideas I working on a 1628 single drive day cab for the post vans then ill do a trailer for the Astro, maybe the livestock van or the tanker trailer

Today i have all the parts cleaned and have started assembly. This is the first 8 steps for the frame. There was minimal flash and mold seems to clean and the frame went together straight and square with no issues Next will be the engine assembly -
Thank you all ? I wish they would have included scored lines to cut the wheel sells out like the 1on1 Was a good challenge and fun to build but I didn't like the decals Would like too do another in stock

Wile my building mojo is in high gear im gonna attempt a WIP for this one. After discovering my Trailmobile double header vans would not work with my Astro 95 i needed a single drive day-cab to put in front of the Trailmobiles. This was in the stash so even though it is a odd match for the trailers im gonna do it anyway. Everything is in a Dawn bath till tomorrow but heres a shot of the box Ill try not to write confusing stuff so bear with me if i slaughter the English language along the way

Thank you guys This was a bit of a challenge but im happy with the resultz
