  1. This is the first build of the year. Cab and frame Paint is Rust-oleum key lime,chrome foil the emblems,painted the Ford badge the rest in craft paints. Getting the motor in correctly was a bit of a challenge but otherwise went together well. Was going to go with a recycle nuke waste theme with the bright green with this until i found someone else has done that so no decals for the moment
  2. Wow! Chrome fifth wheel,drive shaft,steering wheel,its a chromgasam! To the purple bath for them!

Thanks guys I would still like see a kit from R2 or Revell, or anyone for that mater.Would like to have more body detail,maybe some rivets or panel lines If i add up the material in this trailer its about $35 which i gladly would have given that or a littil more for a kit. But im happy with it as its a shelf sitter any how

  9. Henry,Jeff and everyone thank you. And thanks for the encouragement to forge ahead when you cant buy what you want and a big shoutout to brandon for providing the drawings to do this Heres a couple shots with the rig When this is all buttoned up ill post the finished shots in under glass
  10. Im closing in on this one Have some paint on and sub assemblys ready Gonna let this dry then clear coat then put it together
  11. Hers a workaround i used for some shims I needed about .200 thick shim to make the correct ride hight for the White SD and discovered that a Lego block measured .200 so and happened to be the right widthe also! They are the blue parts in the pic

  14. Decided to ditch the black plastic i started with and went with styreen Next will be the sides and then how to do the the doors.Not going to have them working so it shouldent be to much of a issue.
  15. TY Rick This truck must be living a charmed life.It fell of the 40" high table to the carpeted basement floor and only suffered one broken part and two parts came off. Thats what lead to the brass pin that is now the cab hinge Still have to paint the chrome parts and decide on the wheel color

  20. Jeff,That is cool!my plan was to print the photo,use the back tire as a reference to scale and go from there .The two things im interested in are the length of this trailer and the door width sizes.
