Well, after looking at how the tilting front end works i decided to mount the radiator before priming. It looks like a lot rides on how straight and square the cab and front end sits rides on how square the radiator sits This is my attempt to get it in the chassis And some progress on the cab and engine -

Ok,being the son of a trucker i should know this, but can anyone helpa modeler out and explain/show me how a Loadcraft LS3-40-S is hooked up to the tractor. I am doing the AMT Etrl Lowboy trailer and was curious when i noticed no landing wheel/pads on the trailer then after a google image search i found a few similar trailers parked nose on the ground and wondered how the trailer is hooked to the truck.

Ford C-600 Stake Truck
Spruslayer replied to Spruslayer's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Thanks guys Gonna leave it the color it is and put on some decals and call the dogs in. I should have researched my idea before doint the model! -
This is the first build of the year. Cab and frame Paint is Rust-oleum key lime, chrome foil the emblems, painted the Ford badge the rest in craft paints. Getting the motor in correctly was a bit of a challenge but otherwise went together well. Was going to go with a recycle nuke waste theme with the bright green with this until i found someone else has done that so no decals for the moment
