  1. As a recovering 1:1 VW guy this is fantastic. It would fit in nicely at any number of Euro shows in England Well done sir.
  2. Looks good! I've got this one in the closet too... waiting on decals and a couple cars already underway.
  3. Yeah, right from the can. I’m excited to try other colors.
  4. Laid down some silver aluminum color. The kit calles out Tamiya TS-17 but I thought I’d try some Duplicolor automotive paint. I used Ford’s Silver Frost. I honestly wish I’d tried Duplicolor long ago.
  5. I’m in the process of fitting a bumper on a frustrating Revell AMG GT so while it’s clamped and drying I thought I’d start prepping the next project. I acquired these from my wife for my birthday last year and decided to build them in parallel since they are the different generations of the same car. They just came out of the soap bath and have been dried with the garage compressor. Let the fun begin.
  6. Also my least favorite Batmobile, but looks like a fun build none the less. The sharpie on chrome turned out nice.
  7. Very nice.
  8. Looks great! I did a DTM Bimmer with a bad body fit... must be a BMW thing. LOL
  9. It reminds me a lot of the hover bug my dad had when I was growing up. LOL. I never would have thought to turn a Beetle into a hover car. Very well thought out, executed and extremely imaginative. I love the roof rack. I'm a 1:1 VW head so to me this is very very cool.
  10. Wow. Just....wow. This is such an undertaking and an unbelievable level of detail. I look at stuff like this and I'm a little jealous of your skills, but at the same time it pushes me to do better work myself.
  11. Man oh man! This Volvo is fantastic! Well done!
  12. Great build. You've inspired me to snag one (should be coming UPS today) and I'm trying to source new decals as well.
  13. I built the MPC kit as a kid and burned it with fireworks (along with the A-team van and Daisy Dukes jeep). LOL Yours is much nicer. Good build!
  14. Fantastic. Looks euro-show worthy. I might need to look at getting one of these kits to put my own spin on it. No flairs, but a nice tuck/camber.
  15. I guess I'm going to have to look for this kit. Well done.
  16. That looks killer! Well done!
  17. As another VW nut, looks like you could use some rust on those strut towers LOL. But in all seriousness, it looks great. I like the flares/stance. I can't wait to see the finished product.
  18. Very nice. I will have to keep an eye out for this kit. It looks like a fun one.
  19. Welcome James!
  20. Just starting mine this week. Yours looks good!
  21. Very nice!
  22. Hello Lee! I'm in the SE metro... Rosemount to be exact.
  23. Good lord! This is incredible. I feel like Wayne and Garth meeting Alice Cooper.
  24. That's awesome! Great detail and a cool story to go with it.
  25. Thanks guys! I guess in fairness the Porsche 956 was 'finished' in January... It started in 2014 but suffered from being ignored for a 1:1 car project and a move from one house to another. Nice. I wondered if anyone would catch that. It's my forum name from a few 1:1 car forums... A great song by one of my favorite bands and it has part of my name in it, and it means "I want"... since I'm seldom satisfied with stuff.
