  1. I just stopped by Walmart and they didn't have any Painters Touch. i think I remember seeing it at Home Depot which is closer to me than Advanced Auto so I'm hoping this will work out for me.. and it is less expensive Wish I would've known before because I was just there two days ago but I thought I'd always heard horror stories here about Rustoleum.
  2. Looking really nice... what did you use for the duct hoses in the back window?
  3. Wow.. those look great David! That super glossy clear is Rustoleum Painters Touch Clear? Any tips or secrets or does it come out looking that good? I've never had gloss like that from Duplicolor clears. Where do you buy your Rustoleum paints?
  4. That looks like a real car. Fantastic build.
  5. Wow Mark... you are almost finished. How'd you machine such a tiny part?
  6. Don't know how I missed this one.. Very nice!
  7. My store has always had Rustoleum along with Duplicolor. So does the O'Rielys I go to... But Advanced was out of Duplicolor primer and had no place for it. I asked about it and the guy said they are getting rid of Duplicolor completely because Rustoleum was a better product. Said it went on better, had better coverage and lasted longer.
  8. They said Rustoleum is a better product. I asked if the Duplicolor was not selling and he said it was selling good but Rustoleum is superior in several ways to Duplicolor?
  9. That thing looks real.
  10. That's exactly what I do only I want to add that I can finally vacuum my carpet and empty my trash bin not being afraid of losing an important part that will be lost forever.
  11. Thanks John.. yeah, when I posted my freak out it was meant more as a joke. But, I didn't think it would turn out as good as it did. I spent a lot of time getting the body ready to actually paint. Glad I didn't start over. The cool thing about most of the issues is they look like weathering so when I try to learn how to weather I'll have to experiment on this car. Thanks Joe... the wild and cool colors and stripes make it look good.
  12. I'll be checking in on this one. I bought it too and am going to start mine soon.
  13. Thanks Dann.. lots of little newb mistakes in it but it came together nicely.
  14. Thanks Chris I really appreciate it. Thanks Will.. I got to say that I do too.
  15. Thanks Dale.. not bad for a newb. The cool thing about this one is the paint job is so busy that the people I know who are not modelers don't even notice the mistakes. It actually looks really cool on the shelf. However, yours is fabulous! Great job on that Porsche! I'm going to have to get one of those someday. I think I have decided to build a few of the Nascar kits I got for $6.50 each as practice to develop my skills more before taking on harder, more expensive kits like this one.
  16. I thought that was a real car in the outdoor pictures. Great job on the photography! That model looks amazing!
  17. Awesome job!
