  1. Another awesome build Jay! That's cool that your build was box art for Revell.
  2. Just read the article. Dave got the kit's second version and it is going to be used to grace the side of the production kit's box. The engine looks amazing on this kit.
  3. Looks awesome! You do great work.
  4. Jonathan, I am looking forward to seeing your completed build
  5. Looks good... an old friend of mine had one of these for a track car and this reminds me of it. Plus, I just built something similar so I am very familiar with this kit
  6. Holy cow Chris! This is amazing.. you are the man! I have a lot of reading to do here to see what you did.
  7. In the latest edition of Scale Auto magazine David Thibodeau builds this model. It is their exclusive pre-release build of the 2017 Ford GT. Dave makes it look good.. I can't wait to get one.
  8. Thanks GlueTube, oldcarfan and 935k3!
  9. Great job.. that looks very nice.
  10. Very cool
  11. Thanks Anders and Chris! Chris, don't you know race cars don't use doors? LOL.. just kidding. I didn't realize the door handle was missing until I saw the pics myself. It apparently fell off. Fortunately I found it when I was putting things away and getting ready for the next car. I glued it on good this time.
  12. Thanks Chris.. glad I ask or I might have gotten the whole kit. Good tips!
  13. I got mine for $25 a week and a half ago.. then checked back a week later and got the Paasche VL for $34. I think I am set. They didn't have the VL out the first time.
  14. Very cool.. I love these cars.
  15. Thanks to Snake for sharing his homemade liquid mask recipe, I was able to easily mask these wheels for painting.
  16. Thanks guys.. I'm going to get another one of these kits and build out the second car on the decal sheet since I enjoyed it so much. Right now I am starting my first Hasegawa
  17. Hey Chris.. finally got around to looking for a PPG and we have one a few miles down the street. So I need to ask for the Omni Plus Clear.. anything else? About how much do you think it will cost?
  18. Nice one Steve. What kit and decals did you use?
  19. Nice one Danny
  20. I was really impressed with the quality of the Tamiya kit. It was my first but definitely not last, Tamiya kit. Some things fit together so good I didn't even need glue. The chrome pieces were perfect and didn't look fake and there was no flashing on any of the sprues. This being only my 4th build I still struggled with some things. I used Duplicolor Acrylic Enamel gloss black and Duplicolor Acrylic Enamel Crystal Clear. They were both fast drying paints but the clear fogged like crazy here in the Florida humidity. I am going to get a portable air conditioner so I can use my airbrush in the hot garage from now on. It has been too hot in there and just to easy to take a spray can outside but in this humidity it won't work. The a/c should keep me cool and comfortable and get rid of the humidity. It's a newbie build that I wish I could've done better but I am improving and I am pretty happy with the outcome.
  21. Thanks for explaining that... It turned out good. I also love the color of your fire extinguisher and the strap. Looks so good together and I've never seen that color (haven't been doing this long) for the bottle before.
  22. Yeah, I could tell you had panel line paint on the rotors.. That really made them pop and look nice. But I was trying to figure out how you mask the calipers so perfectly LOL. I think that paint color works great on the calipers for that reason.
  23. So that's how Revell makes steering wheel parts for the sprue
  24. Very nice! Is that shadows or did you paint the calipers two different colors?
