Completely clean or not, the result is awesome, the conversion to a day cab, the details and especially the paint job, I really love the colors. You did a great job.....again Brian! Hermann. -
Hello everyone, Today the next paint job on the support legs. For this Fuso, the support legs had to be yellow with red outrigger pads. After I removed all the masking material, I put the rubber tubes, connected to cocktail sticks to stretch the opening of the tubes, in hot water to make them soft and stretchable. Now it's very easy to connect the tubes to the bras wires. After cooling off, these tubes will be sitting tight around the brass wire. Then attach the warning flashers on the small supports of the support legs. These transparent parts are painted with Tamiya Clear orange. The exhaust pot with the first part of the exhaust-pipe that is made of 4mm aluminum tube. And the rear.... Well guys, the next job is the wiring job. That's it for today and see you next round! Hermann.

Really nice project, and the color scheme is awesome. The damages on the bumper is a very nice detail. Hermann. -
Nice colors Tom, to avoid any risks, just put the cab in hand-warm water to remove the tape, so that nothing will chip off with removing the tape. Hermann.

Hello everyone, Thank you Jeff and yeah, you can do a lot with common stuff, it's usually around you and you can use different materials in different ways. My motto ..... if it doesn't work out the way you want, you can always buy Today some small details that took a lot of time. First I made the curtains in the cabin out of paper and kept them open in the middle. It is hardly to see, but it is just fun to know it is. Then glue the door panels inside the cab, and on the outside window the small window frames, which were already made and sprayed, neatly glued on with Clear Weld, what is a transparent glue. This glue is widely used by aircraft builders to glue transparent parts, what looks like wood glue, and dries transparent. The small window in the door is a 1mm thick transparent part what is clamped in the window frame. The front shield is a 0,4mm thick transparent part what i cut in half and glued to the center post for the correct angle of the front shield. At the corners of the windows again a bit of Clear Weld, and the windscreen sits well and tight in the window frame. And as last, a strip of 1mm hemisphere in the center of the windshield for the finishing touch. With the FLA set back I had used the transparent part of the kit, but in this way I find it more convincing and just a bit nicer, yeah.....it's learning all the time. Now i can continue with the rest of the last details for this cab. I am also awaiting Jerry's decals, I hope to receive them soon. That's it for today and see you next round! Hermann.

Hello everyone! First of all, Paul, Tom and JT, thank you for your nice and enthusiastic replay, I really appreciate this. Well guys, the last week I'm really bizzy with a lot of paint work, like the chassis of the Marmon and now the chassis of the Fuso. First i started with black primer, and after all was dry and hardened, I sprayed the chassis in the gloss black color. The only thing exciting was that I would hit everything between the chassis with paint, and it did. When this was dry and hardened, I attached all the separate items what was already made and painted. This time there is not so much to say about it, but let the pictures tell the story. And all together.... Now I can start with the wiring and the construction of the Van-Body. That's it for today and see you next round! Source Hermann.

Hello everyone, As I said, this time the chassis will be in the black paint. After everything was sprayed, I have assembled all the sperate parts, like engine, fuel tanks and other small stuff. The fuel tanks are clamped in the tank tires, at the bottom of the supports I have tightened the pin-hole connection and glued it firmly. This makes the fuel tanks themselves, not glued. The air bellows of the air suspension and the battery box lid are painted in a matte black color, and a few wiring have been fitted. Then attach the cabin to the chassis and the radiator grill and the bumper with a piece of tape for the looks. And together with the volume box..... So far so good. Now i can finish the details on the cab and start with the rivets on the volume box. After all is done, then I still have to build the pup trailer. That's it for today and see you next round! Thank you guys! Aaaaand we continue. The chassis is almost done, just some small rivets on some spots and a support with a gear stick. First we start with the volume box, the trusses and the subframe are now ready, and the volume box is now at the correct height. Then the 2 air bottles.... Then attached the spacers for the front bumper, which the front bumper will be mounted on. And the tank straps which are made separately and will be connected with a hole-pin connection in the lower tank support. In this situation I can paint the tank and straps separately. I kept a little space on these straps, because the rubber straps have to be simulated with auto pinstripe tape and fill the space between the fuel tanks and the straps. Yes guys, the next update will be shown with a black painted chassis. See you next round. Hermann. -
