  1. It's been a decent amount of time since I got to work on this Mustang. I kinda forgot what I covered in my last update, so here is a look at what I have so far. I'll have another progress update up soon.
  2. It's been a while since I posted any progress on this one, but I have been working on it. I got the I6 engine assembled and ready for paint, got most of the other engine parts painted, got the rims detailed, got the interior and chassis painted to my satisfaction, got the body primed and ready for paint, and I got most of the rest of the parts primed.
  3. Got some finger picks and a new set of strings for my acoustic guitar.
  4. Awesome builds, guys! I had to take some time away from the workbench before I got the ‘69 Mach 1 done, but I’ll definitely have it done before Christmas.
  5. Welcome aboard, Bo!
  6. Welcome aboard, Alex!
  7. I got a good bit of hand-painting done since last update. The engine bay and underside of the hood are painted flat black. The hood is decaled, painted, and polished. And I got the hood stripe decals and gloss black on the body. Next step: applying a bunch of decals and painting the headliner.
  8. Just checking in. How are the builds coming along? I'll get some progress pictures of my '69 Mach 1 up soon.
  9. I'm more of the "I'll finish it eventually" type. Sometimes, when I get back to a stalled build, I change the build plan and end up completely redoing pretty much everything that was painted and assembled. Although, kits that are "too far gone" or that I lost interest in do become parts kits.
  10. Not sure why, but it in a way reminds me of the Tumbler car from the Batman: The Dark Knight trilogy...
  11. Welcome to the Forum, Bill!
  12. Welcome aboard, Bill!
  13. Thanks, Roy! The color is Testors Arctic Blue Metallic over gray primer.
  14. Looks like the Drag Pak is back for the first time since 2015. Dodge is making a new Challenger Drag Pak for 2020. Here is a link to the article I found. https://www.hemmings.com/blog/2019/11/05/the-dodge-challenger-drag-pak-returns-for-2020/
  15. It was actually yesterday, but I got this plastic bin for spare parts. I used to keep all of them loose in a kit box. Now I have an actual parts bin instead of a parts box.
  16. For dinner: cheesy ham and noodle casserole (cubed ham steak, noodles, a homemade cheese sauce, and crumbled butter cracker topping) with a small salad. For dessert: homemade pumpkin roll cake. Pumpkin cake with a cream cheese frosting/filling and a layer of whipped cream on top.
  17. I forgot to take pictures, but we got a little bit of snow today. Enough to make a layer of white on our deck and back porch. I heard that it was supposed to be a short Autumn and long Winter for our area.
  18. Welcome, Luca!
  19. Thanks for the suggestion, Charlie. I had actually planned to do just that, but decided otherwise. This will actually be my first attempt at an engine swap and vinyl top, so I’m going to keep everything else on this build rather simple.
  20. Thank you for the tip, Peter. I was going to try to brush the Pledge onto the trim piece bordering the grille (what I’m going to BMF) and keep the grille flat black. Thank you very much for the advice, Rob. I’ll be sure to flat clear it before applying the BMF.
  21. Nice update! That color combo looks great on it!
  22. Still, looks great! I like the color!
  23. Awesome Gasser build, Jim! Very nice work on the chop and flatbed.
  24. Cool little Wagon! Very nice build!
  25. Thanks everyone for the info. I will test the BMF over the paint on a piece of sprue. Just wondering - would a coat or two of Pledge Revive It make the paint surface smooth?
