  1. This new quiz looks very interesting. Thanks, Michael for starting it.
  2. It’s neat to hear about a supercar that’s used like a daily driver. Thankfully, the damage doesn’t look too bad.
  3. Coming along nicely, Dennis. The chassis and engine look excellent.
  4. The distributor, exhaust headers, washer fluid bag, and starter spent some time in the Purple Pond. The paint on 'em wasn't too bad, but I still wanted to give them a fresher look. I lost the original starter a while ago, so this one is from the parts bin (Moebius Models F-100 Flareside?). And, I got some more parts primed and ready for paint. The engine block should be painted black, correct?
  5. Looks great so far, Snake. Keep up the good work ?
  6. It looks interesting, and though I can respect the price tag for something so technical, paying $280K for a watch isn’t quite high on my to-do list. Although I could say that I got a Bugatti Chiron for under $300,000...
  7. Saw an MK4 Supra the other day. It was like a metallic gunmetal gray color, lowered, black rims, tinted windows. Kinda cool lookin’.
  8. Sounds like a cool project, Bob. If I may ask, where did you get the MK IV at?
  9. Got some more parts sanded and ready for primer. I kinda broke the shifter while sanding the mold lines off, but it looks like a simple fix.
  10. Got a good bit of priming done today. The body work didn't turn out too bad, I'm pretty satisfied with it. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, the radiator was glued onto the wall sideways. Well, I finally got around to fixing it. It should be ready for a coat of primer tomorrow.
  11. Made a good bit of progress since last update. The engine is now down to bare plastic. Pretty much all of the loose parts are sanded and ready for primer. The sink marks on the body are now filled and sanded. And I black-washed the rims and grille. Next step: a whole lotta priming and continued parts prep.
  12. Welcome back, Guido!
  13. Looks awesome. I really like the two-tone paint colors. Very nice build, Johnny.
  14. I also got the engine disassembled to my liking, filled the sink marks on the body, and sanded off some broken pins on the frame and front suspension.
  15. It's kinda hard to see in pictures, but I put a fresh coat of primer on the interior tub. There were some parts that needed re-chromed, parts that needed de-chromed, and chrome parts that were painted over. Here they are before being de-chromed And here they are after being de-chromed
  16. I just checked it out. Lots of good pictures and information there. Looks like I’m gonna have to find some Krylon Shimmer paints, too ?
  17. I had an idea for an extremely customized land yacht type car. The only problem with that is I can’t think of any model kits that would fit the land yacht category. So, with that being said, are there any plastic kits or resin bodies of late-‘60s to mid-‘70s, large, full size cars? Thanks In Advance
  18. My most favorite task would have to be hand-painting small details on engines and interiors. My least favorite task is sanding down mold lines and reconfiguring poorly fitting parts.
  19. Yep, sure do. I've been wanting to turn this Ford Taurus into a drag car for a while now. I'd like it to look something like the one in the picture below.
  20. Thanks, Snake. I actually first heard about it in your double ‘67 Impala resto thread. I’ll be using it on some parts for the ‘64 Pace Car here soon. Huh, I didn’t even think to look at those places. Well, now I know for future reference. Thanks much for the info, Jim and Greg.
  21. Looks great, Pat. I like the paint scheme.
  22. I like where this is going. Really cool project, Wayne. I’ll be watching for more updates.
  23. Looks great, Wayne. Very nicely detailed build.
