  1. Was Marty Robbins a college graduate or Sun Devils football fan? Arizona State University colors are "Pink Raspberry" and "Spanish Yellow", looking just like the car in photos!
  2. Hey unclescott58, this is the book you're looking for:
  3. Both Lindberg and Monogram made 1/32 scale models of the MGA. Monogram's version was also available as a slot car.
  4. It appears to be a battery box (oops! Misread the numbers, disregard)
  5. Fantastic job! Can you tell us how you reproduced the "Unpredictable" graphics?
  6. Welcome to the forum, John !
  7. I haven't tried this before, but the first thing that came to mind would be to apply used "dryer sheets" with thinned white glue or Future clear finish.
  8. Roll bar is typical of Palmer kits, also.
  9. I agree with Richard Bartrop's original answer. Definitely a '60 Frontenac.
  10. Here's one of mine
  11. How about AMT's Laurel and Hardy '25 Model T roadster and '27 T touring?
  12. Mike Connors was mentioned on the side of the MPC Mannix roadster kit Rod Taylor and Dennis Cole were mentioned on the front of the MPC Bearcats! Stutz kit
  13. If you're not picky about number of doors or model designations and trim a '55 Plymouth could be made from a '56 Jo-Han/X-El promo re-issue by grinding off the fins and making new taillights and a grille center, since everything else is basically the same. You could source those parts from a beat up '55 promo.
  14. I believe the decals were included in Scale Auto Enthusiasts 20th anniversary issue, some time during 1999
  15. For those of you left in suspense, the blue slot car in Howard's post is an MPC Dyno SC100, exclusively made for Sears stores by MPC. Lindberg made a lookalike 1/12 scale model kit originally released as the "GT-200", and other names over the years.
  16. The MPC Shirley Muldowney "Bounty Huntress" Roadrunner funny car kit had this body with the flat hood, if you care to cut one up. Hart's Parts Resin also makes the hood separately.
  17. You're welcome, David.
  18. David, try here: https://canadianponcho.activeboard.com/ and here: http://www.oldcarbrochures.com/static/Canada/Pontiac/1968 Pontiac Prestige Brochure/index1.html
  19. Miatatom, if your model is in 1/24 scale you can find white roundels and numbers 3 and 6 in the correct font on a Gofer Racing Decals #11009 sheet "Sports Car Numbers", available from various sources and many hobby shops.
  20. Thank you for the info, Roy.
  21. Nice deal. Who makes it and what scale is it?
  22. Almost any kind of figure anybody could want for dioramas in 1/24 or 1/25 scale is available as a model railroading "G" scale accessory. G scale is generally accepted to be approximately 1/22.5 to 1/25 depending on the manufacturer. Since "real" people vary in height, the exact scale is of no consequence.
  23. An even better way to do this might be to not use any glue between the styrene layers, just drill through the stack for two styrene rod alignment pins, then just glue the pins in place.
  24. Jairus Watson built a beautiful replica of his own 1:1 scale '69 Mustang convertible using the Revell kit . I thought for sure it was posted somewhere on this forum but I can't seem to find it anywhere. Can anyone provide a link to the pics?
  25. Ah yes, a fine example from Salvador Dali's "hot rod design" period.
