  1. I believe that's a '58 Buick wheelcover
  2. I suspect the decal at top to the right of "Lakewood" is "Drag Dimensions"
  3. Although I attended many SpeedSport, Motion, Speedorama and Motorama car shows in Toronto over the years, unfortunately I can't say that I recall seeing the car you have described. I will keep it in mind however, so that when I go through my old car show photos I might possibly spot it, and let you know.
  4. Can you post a description of the car you are looking for? I attended hundreds of cruise nights and car shows while living in Toronto from 1959 to 2013 and may know of or have seen the car, especially if it was from the Scarborough area.
  5. I'm not sure if this site has ever been posted here before, but everyone owes it to themselves to check this out if they have never seen it: Richard Spiegelman’s albums | Flickr Well-known Canadian car photographer Richard Spiegelman has assembled a collection of over 155,000 photos of every type of car and truck you might find at a car show: antique, modern, racing, custom, hot rod, concept, foreign, etc., and a little bit of motorcycles, trains, planes and boats, too. There's lots of Canadian Pontiacs, Dodges ("Plodges"), Beaumonts, Acadians, Meteors, Monarchs and Frontenacs as well. Some albums are devoted to one particular show, and others are devoted to one particular kind of car, with photos compiled from many shows. The shows are mostly from Toronto and surrounding areas, but lots of US and some British shows also. They are mostly fairly recent shows, but from all decades back to the 1950's. It's 99% cars and related, but a few other interesting topics, too. Sit back and enjoy. You're gonna be here for a while. P.S. : And if any of you know of a bigger or better car show site, post it here too!
  6. If you're talking about outdoor car shows and cruise nights, this site is simply astounding.... Richard Spiegelman’s albums | Flickr
  7. Slixx made a sheet that covered both the '68 Coronet and Dart racecars. They also did a sheet for the '69 Charger. They are very similar to each other and possibly suitable for '69 Coronet use if you are not too picky. Unfortunately they don't seem to be available from Slixx at this time.
  8. Here's a 1959 Monarch II Sceptre Cruiser, the top-of-the-line product available at Ford dealerships that year. Picture taken at Rockton, Ontario's Jalopy Jam Up, August 2022.
  9. Don't forget you can order model kits from Michael's online. They have a dozen of recent Revell releases on their website right now at $39.99 and with the current 40% off coupon deal that comes to only $23.99 (plus tax??). You can even have them delivered to your local store and pick them up there, avoiding shipping charges. That's like buying kits at an equivalent price of $16.99 US.
  10. I can confirm that a radio version of the AMT '68 Galaxie did exist, and that it also was molded in the bright yellow plastic with a black plastic radio chassis. I once owned one but sold it at a toy show in Buffalo, NY some time in the mid 1980's for $45. I just wasn't happy with a model that didn't have a detailed interior and that looked out of place displayed with my other promos and built models. Needless to say, I have never been able to acquire a kit or promo of the '68 Galaxie at a reasonable price since!
  11. I once owned this kit which was marketed by Testors and briefly available to hobby shops through normal distribution channels. It contained a Jimmy Flintstone resin body and a minimal number of other parts to make a curbside/slammer model. The windows were molded solid: the entire body shell was roughly 1/4" thick. The body was fairly well done but the lack of any engine, chassis and interior parts made me lose interest in it so I traded it off to a friend. Twenty years later now, and he hasn't touched it either! This pic is from the Spotlight Hobbies site, but the next time I see my friend I will try to post pics of the actual kit here.
  12. Check out https://modeltruckers.com for hundreds of possible trucking company decal schemes and some specifically for Internationals.
  13. The red triangle appears to be a logo for Wedge Engineering, an auto parts manufacturer primarily known today for making seat brackets.
  14. I believe this model is one of a series of 1/16 Funny car models made by a company called Milestones. if so, the body is actually made of fiberglass:
  15. It looked better when Virgil Exner and Ghia did it, in 1965:
  16. At first I thought it was the rarely seen Canadian built Manic GT, but the rear end styling is not that close:
  17. Of the two original issue kits I have owned both were molded in white. I have never seen or heard of one in any other color.
  18. There was also a 1/25 scale 1949 Plymouth 4 door sedan promotional model made by AMT in acetate plastic of various colors.
  19. I have been wondering about the number "2" stamped between the "TRIM" and "ENGINE" spots on your data plate which doesn't seem to be addressed by the charts above, but I remember reading somewhere about factory built 63 Ford Taxicabs with 2 tone gray/dark gray vinyl interiors and a slightly different version of the 223-6 cylinder engine. Does your car in fact have the red interior as listed or could it be a taxi model?
  20. For all specifications other than build date, see the following: MAKE 6 cylinder 8 cylinder Galaxie 6 4 Monterey 3 1
  21. It might be a long shot now, but as of at least the year 2003, the Ford of Canada Oakville Assembly Plant operated a company archives that was accessible to the public and likely would have had build date information on hand. The archivist at that time was Sandra Notarianni. Try giving the offices of the plant a call.
  22. Looks like a 1960 Huffaker BMC Mk1 Formula Jr.
  23. A similar kit was made by MPC in the 1980's, and may possibly show up as a future reissue:
