  10. This is my contribution to the 2023 Cannon Ball Run community build which I called the NastyGal: The build is loosely based on Dave Kindig’s beautiful Convertible: just thought the black rag top somehow interferes with the clean look, that’s why I decided to keep the kit’s hard top so the asymmetrical stripe can flow along the roof: The stock Galaxie kit had to accept a few modifications to achieve the look I was after. I shaved the body of all all handles, letters and emblems and kit bashed it with an early 90s Nascar Thunderbird… …with the Nascar fuel cell in the trunk… … and the 500+ hp engine under the hood. The engine was wired and topped with a scratch built air cleaner and I also added a scratch built radiator cover. For rolling stock I chose 19/21″ Salt II wheels by Steven Zimmerman. The Nascar chassis had to be extended for a correct wheelbase and i added some material to the rear end and angled it a bit to fit the trunk area: The interior tub had to be modified to fit the Nascar chassis and I added seats from an early ’90s Mustang. Had a great time building this one and I hope you like it, too! Thanks for having a look! Comments are welcomed and appreciated!

  20. Sorry, I was in a kind of frenzy and totally forgot to take pics during the assembly process. Everything just worked fine and suddenly it was finished: I will post some under glass pictures as soon as I'm back from hospital (getting an artificial hip next week ?) Thanks for watching, see you at the starting grid!
