    Hi, I had Revell’s Alternomad kit in my stash for a long time. Bought it as donor kit for some nice parts but i never touched for years until I remembered an idea given to us by Thom Taylor himself. in SAE magazine issue January ‚99 Zoom showed alternative ideas of his Revell kits including an Alternomad with a Monkee Mobile ragtop. And since I build my Monkee Mobile with a ’67 GTO hardtop the MM ragtop was ready for a swap.The Alternomad lost its roof and became the „Phantasy Pheaton“: Apart from the roof swap the Phantasy Phaeton was lowered, shaved, equipped with Jay’s resin wheels and skinny whitewall tires, modified side trim, ‚59 Chevy taillights. moulded grille housing with a custom mesh grille and scratch built exhaust tips. and for tose asking themselves what happened to the rest of the Monkee Mobile: Comments are welcomed and appreciated !
