    Thank you for the tips. I'm going to give it a soak in Super Clean and have another try.

    Did my first paint job with an airbrush. Tried it on a spare body. Turned out better than I was expecting. It's got a couple of small runs. I don't know if the paint was too thin or if I got too close. Also, there is orange peel in the clearcoat.

    I watched Ant's show on the Motor Trend app. Enjoyed it very much. I recommend Faster with Finnegan if you like dumb fun with cars. Also on the Motor Trend app. Probably available on non streaming as well.

    This is Performance Red. Don't know if it's readily available in cans. I had a 2000 GT in this color. Definitely had an orange tint.

    I'm calling this done. I'm not even 10% happy with how it turned out, but I'm 100% happy that I have built something for the first time in about 15 years. The body/chassis paint is from when I started this many, many years ago. I feel like I've learned a lot from this forum and I look forward to stripping this apart and doing it over with more skills and knowledge. More time would be helpful also.

    My bet is that the wheel was not removed when they checked the brakes. I've seen plenty of inspectors just shine a light through the wheel to see the rotor and thickness of the brake pads. They obviously cannot see the backside when they do this. Or they only checked one side of the vehicle. How was the rotor on the other side?

    I received mine today. My louvers are backwards as well. What did you have to do to switch yours around?
