  1. Looks great. I have three of them waiting for my skills to improve so that I can do them justice.
  2. I'm calling this done. I'm not even 10% happy with how it turned out, but I'm 100% happy that I have built something for the first time in about 15 years. The body/chassis paint is from when I started this many, many years ago. I feel like I've learned a lot from this forum and I look forward to stripping this apart and doing it over with more skills and knowledge. More time would be helpful also.
  3. My bet is that the wheel was not removed when they checked the brakes. I've seen plenty of inspectors just shine a light through the wheel to see the rotor and thickness of the brake pads. They obviously cannot see the backside when they do this. Or they only checked one side of the vehicle. How was the rotor on the other side?
  4. I wouldn't mind seeing my car hanging from that hook. Great job.
  5. Amazing looking Caddy.
  6. Great looking bridge and property. Do you have any pictures with snow?
  7. Looking good.
  8. Thank you for the info. I will give it a go.
  9. I received my Gulf sponsored GT 40 by Solido. Here is a link with pics from another board members post of this car: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/152929-gt-40-118/
  10. I received mine today. My louvers are backwards as well. What did you have to do to switch yours around?
  11. There is a guy on YouTube, Brandon Herrera ( aka The AK Guy ), that does AK guys vs. AR guys videos. He makes the AR guys out to be fussy little weenies. They are pretty funny. But I'm an overgrown 13 year old so stuff like that makes me giggle.
  12. I don't have the skills to do anything like that but I did assemble an AR 15 chambered in 300 AAC. Of course, an AR kit is basically like a snap kit in the model car world.
  13. Thanks for everyone's feedback.
  14. That looks so nice.
  15. Looks really cool. I like the Pegasus wheels, I just wish they were available in a smaller diameter.
  16. You've stolen my idea, Randy. I was going to build my idea of how a new NASCAR Mustang should look using the GT4 kit. Of course, by the time I get around to it NASCAR will probably be all electric.
  17. Woah, way out of my price range.
  18. I remember your post. I probably should have searched before posting. After all my years on earth, this is my first 1st generation Ford GT purchase that wasn't Hot Wheels. I have plenty of the latest generation diecast/plastic kits.
  19. Well, I ended up ordering this: https://www.diecastmodelswholesale.com/ford-gt40-mki-9-gulf-oil-24h-of-le-mans-1968-1-18-diecast-model-car-by-solido/
  20. I came across a couple of cars online from a company called Solido. I've never heard of them but they have a few items that draw my interest. They are a French company so a lot of their car subjects are French. Does anyone have any firsthand experience with their products? https://www.solido.com/en/
