Looking for an orange/red paint color
stinkybritches replied to johnny rocket's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
This is Performance Red. Don't know if it's readily available in cans. I had a 2000 GT in this color. Definitely had an orange tint. -

Demolition Ranch did a video about that. Starts at the 4 minute mark. -

If I remember correctly, The Transporter was constantly swapping one dark colored German car for another. -

Looks great. I have three of them waiting for my skills to improve so that I can do them justice. -

I'm calling this done. I'm not even 10% happy with how it turned out, but I'm 100% happy that I have built something for the first time in about 15 years. The body/chassis paint is from when I started this many, many years ago. I feel like I've learned a lot from this forum and I look forward to stripping this apart and doing it over with more skills and knowledge. More time would be helpful also. -
My bet is that the wheel was not removed when they checked the brakes. I've seen plenty of inspectors just shine a light through the wheel to see the rotor and thickness of the brake pads. They obviously cannot see the backside when they do this. Or they only checked one side of the vehicle. How was the rotor on the other side?

I wouldn't mind seeing my car hanging from that hook. Great job.

I received my Gulf sponsored GT 40 by Solido. Here is a link with pics from another board members post of this car: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/152929-gt-40-118/

I received mine today. My louvers are backwards as well. What did you have to do to switch yours around?

There is a guy on YouTube, Brandon Herrera ( aka The AK Guy ), that does AK guys vs. AR guys videos. He makes the AR guys out to be fussy little weenies. They are pretty funny. But I'm an overgrown 13 year old so stuff like that makes me giggle. -

I don't have the skills to do anything like that but I did assemble an AR 15 chambered in 300 AAC. Of course, an AR kit is basically like a snap kit in the model car world. -
Thanks for everyone's feedback.
