  1. I have this one but have not built it as of yet...
  2. Thanks Carl... and thanks for all the comments. I've got to decide now what will be the next stencil to try out...
  3. I would have to agree lol......
  4. I wish I had someone else local that I knew to do it with then I probably would go but 6 hours in the car by myself would probably end up something like the shining lol...
  5. I’m about an hour south of the DE/PA line it would be about a 3 hr drive for me. This would only be my second show to ever go to and I don’t show just browse. I honesty don’t want to spend 6 hour driving in one day as I wouldn’t be staying over. I spent about an hour at the first one
  6. Thanks for the info, I wasn't building for it, my builds aren't that good but I do like looking at the builds and getting some stuff from the vendors. Wayne NJ is a little far for me though...
  7. That bites... but I understand.... I was hoping to check this one out this year...
  8. I used one can today with no issues so hopefully it will continue that way
  9. Thanks guys I am pretty happy with the outcome on my first attempt
  10. My cutter will cut pretty small thankfully, I figured an old school paint job was good since this is a rehab kit Old kit, old style paint lol.... I'll have to post some pics when I get it back together.. The blue is a OEM Ford color I picked up in Dupli-color called Sonic Blue Pearl. The car is a 39 Chevy, this kit here
  11. Thanks guys, yes other side is exactly the same, I cut the stencil for the other side in mirror so the were the same.. I took a pic of the body and fenders together, only thing I see I should have done is lowered it a little more so it met the fenders better
  12. Thanks for the vote of confidence but I'm really not expecting it they are kits getting harder and harder to find and the price keeps going up on them.
  13. I’ve been thinking about trying this for a while now and finally broke down and did it today. I used my plotter to cut a decal stencil and this was my outcome...
  14. I'm surprised I haven't commented here already, I have a few Grail kits I don't ever expect to get because the prices are just to high on them, mostly AMC Rebel Machine, SC/Scrambler, Marlin and a couple of different Javelin/AMX kits. Highest on my list though is a Unibody early 60's Ford PU I've been wanting to duplicate my father in-laws truck for years and can never find that kit in a price range I can afford. I also Have a couple I will probably find someday because they are not as hard to find but kits from my youth I would love to build again and one that is just a match to my Ford Van Monogram 70 Boss 429 Mustang Monogram 69 Pontiac GTO Monogram 70 Dodge Challenger T/A (molded in metal glow red) MPC Pinto Pony Express And Monogram 71 Hemi Cuda
  15. Thanks Jim, I’m a fan of their paint also, I use it more than anything else
  16. Picked these up today, $2.99 for the big cans $1.29 for the smaller ones....
  17. Yes bumpers, wheels and all trim was done with a Molotow 2mm pen
  18. There are places that do it but I use a Molotow pen a lot, all the chrome on this is redone with one...
  19. I just recently bought my first ones from MAD, nice product and next time I buy some it will be from there as well...
  20. I really enjoy doing the rebuilds and in all honesty every one is different, it depends on who built it. What I mean by that is how much and what type of glue and paint used how well the body was prepped all are factors in a rebuild.
  21. LOL I can believe that....
  22. Interesting, might have to save them for a future want list, splurging is right though at 20 plus whatever shipping is... I'll keep that in mind it's always good to know who makes good stuff... Never thought of nail clippers I think I have several of those floating around...
  23. I use mine a lot, you have to be careful about handling it after though it will loose its luster and look like aluminum if handled a lot...
  24. I will definitely have to get one next buying binge, I’ll just fork out the cash and get a good one, somethings you don’t go cheap on although it looks like you can get some pretty nice ones under 10 buck... Like those fiskars, everything I have of there’s is pretty nice
  25. Ok, so basically with the sprue cutter then it would allow me to cut right up on the parts rather then cut them out with a big piece of the tree still on it..
