Just finished this one today, had some decal issues but still turned out pretty good

I may be using that idea too, I have an old Ranchero kit like that and it’s a build up. The glass and roof are rough that could definitely save that kit.... looks great and great idea.....

I'm looking for some places to gets decals from. I like looking through what's available to make projects I want to build and I'm currently looking for a set of 69 AMX stripes. I have Mike's saved and have gotten a few from them but I also noticed a lot of there stuff says sold out on it. So where else do you all get decals from?

There are quite a few options for sure, tell us what you like and I'm sure someone can point you in the right direction. I know when I got back into building about a 1 1/2 years ago I learned so much when I found this site and there are some very knowledgeable people here that can answer most any question you have.

I have not done any of the Sprint cars but if the testors dull cote worked good on that it maybe my best route. I'll look into that, the cars wheels do almost look aluminum (although I know they aren't) I may be in a situation of buying multiple things to find the effect I want...

I've never used any kind of dullcote so I'm really a rookie when it comes to it. I'm working on a NASCAR kit that has chrome wheels but the real car has a dull finish but looks like the chrome still. So what do you guys use to dull chrome?

They are finally getting ready to open the one near me. They announced last August they signed a lease and nothing till about a month ago they finally started working on the place and they put the sign up this week. They are saying opening the first week in September is planned...

Micro Set says decal remover on the bottle but I think the Micro Sol works faster. I can see where that would work well...

I did this a while back works pretty good too, I like the way you opened the walls up to give you more opportunity for angles

The AMT 66 Galaxie I just built had the stock hood and tear drop hood.

I have all my paints stored on a shelf in my basement, temps stay pretty even there all year round. I leave mine up right although I know that's not the best practice but the only paint I've ever had an issue with over a long period of time is testors.....
