  1. Me 3, I've seen a few cars where bigger looks ok but the older cars really don't look good with them and really most newer cars too.
  2. Finished product looks great, I have some sheet styrene I may have to give it a try that way and see what I end up with, thanks
  3. I would have to agree, you would think it would have to be cheaper to make a partial tooling rather than the whole thing....
  4. I’ve got this donor piece out of the cougar I think it’s going to work really good
  5. I am disassembling it, it is currently apart now, I think what I'm going to do is try this post I have out of the old Cougar body and if I'm not happy with the way it is fitting then I'll take a trip to HL to get some styrene stripping. I'm sure my wife would prefer I didn't use a pin up girl LOL.....
  6. Wow that sucks, I have seen replacement decals for them but I don’t recall where off hand I’ve thought about getting a set myself for an old build I want to rehab... I know someone will chime in and say where...
  7. Brian that sounds like that would be more work but a stronger post for sure could be worth the effort. Mark you mean to make a mold of sorts? That’s an interesting idea, I bet it would be hard to get that profile right...

  12. Thanks guys, I have a pretty bad 69 Cougar body that would probably be a good donor....
  13. Hey all, I was hoping to get some input from you guys on the best route of attack for repairing this, I don’t have the missing piece either. I wouldn’t worry about it if it was a common kit but being a Johan AMX I’d really like to save it. Thanks in advance for the help...
  14. Sorry for your loss Carl, my prayers are with you and your family...
  15. I wouldn't use it on a body like stated it's to hot but I will admit I have some of the semi gloss black I use for chassis and interior tubs but you have to put a little primer under it or it will craze...
  16. I'm just spit balling here but could you paint it with a chrome paint then top coat it with some Dullcote?
  17. I think I'm with Steve, I might get 2 maybe 3 different ways and then I would be done. The only thing I think is close to having a shot is Nascar kits but they all have different decals in basically the same kit....
  18. There is thread here somewhere all about there, if you build your own use an explosion proof fan. Here’s mine I made it out of a couple totes
  19. I have one from the late 80’s that is molded in black also....
  20. There is thread here somewhere all about there, if you build your own use an explosion proof fan. Here’s mine I made it out of a couple totes
  21. I’ve always done cars, pick ups and big trucks and mostly 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. Outside of that I do nascar and some drag racing but all automobiles of some type
  22. I don't know if you guys have seen this before but I came across it today and I looked like this ?
  23. Thanks guys, that’s the kind of answers I was hoping to get...
  24. I like it, seems to me it's a lot cheaper than buying them...
  25. I made a wired distributor out of some 1/8 tube and proper size wire, do you all think it looks acceptable?
