  1. Ok I guess I’ll just have to see if I figure out when they went from single coils to duel coils...
  2. Thanks guys, interesting on that 77 the coil is still stuck in the firewall to keep it out of the heat.... On the dash hmmm I guess it would still have to go though the fire wall too, definitely opens up the possibilities, I wonder when they went to fuel injection I would think the coil change would have been close to the same time...
  3. Could you post that pic of Earnhardt’s car so I could get a look at it...
  4. I am currently building the Salvino's Tim Richmond 27 LeMans. I usually never add plug wires on the cup cars just because of lack of space but decided to give it a shot on this one. I was looking for engine bay pictures but had no luck finding any or finding where the coil was located on that generation of cars GM, Ford or Chrysler. Anyone have a pic showing it or know where they were located back then?
  5. It is a shame and I think most of us have done some version of it at one time or another, I know I stopped building about 15 years ago when I was moving and all my built and complete kits were boxed and moved but all my part for the most part were trashed which just makes me so sad today not that I'm back building. I had built for a long time before that and had boxes upon boxes of parts but I'm starting to get a parts stash again but sadly just newer kit parts....
  6. Congrates Steve, Very well deserved your builds are master pieces...
  7. I have been wanting to stop in the hobby town but keep thinking it will be like a lot of the chains and focus on the RC cars, I’ve seen the one in Seaford have never had a chance to stop in. There are a few there I have never heard of but honestly when I lived outside of Wilmington I just always went to Simpsons
  8. I didn't see this before, there is a place in Wilmington called Simpson's hobbies. The carry a fair amount of kits but a lot less them they did years ago, I was there right before Christmas for the first time in a long time as I'm about an hour away now and used to live a lot closer but if you want to check them out they are at 709 Foulk Rd, Wilmington, DE 19803 and are a small mom and pop shop. I saw after I added this that you find them, it's the only one in DE that I know of.
  9. Unfortunately there need for better safety as well as there want to control every detail have made the cars what they are. I would love to see them go back to a stock bodied car and restrict it so it wouldn’t be faster than say 100 mph to keep them safe..
  10. They also added several road courses to the schedule as well as both Pocono races are the same weekend.. There is only one race in Dover and a few others lost there second races. It is primarily an attempt to up there ratings and fans again NASCAR has been taking a slow decline and it got a lot worse once Covid hit...
  11. I don't know about Tamiya but I used Duplicolor Royal Blue I believe it was and it matches pretty good.
  12. I like the idea in the one thread for using the nascar suspension I have several of those floating around...
  13. Thanks Casey.. I have one of the Suburbans too...
  14. If I remember right the MPC is 1/25th so that may not work as I have the revel 1/24th kit.... I’ll have to do a search but I don’t usually have much luck finding what I’m looking for. Think it’s more me than the forum though....
  15. I'm starting on doing a far job of replicating some of the vehicles my Dad had when I was young, I've got almost everything I need to do his Green 75 Chevy pick up but his was 2wd and the kit is 4wd is there an easy way to change it over? Here is a pic of the 75 and some of the others I want to try to replicate. I probably won't worry about the caps as my Dad was good for taking them off at the spur of the moment.
  16. I use this on fine scratches and on my cases. Works great, I found it a while back looking for something for the windshield on my motorcycle.
  17. I am currently making a mid 70's fleetside and the way I did it was to use the 78 GMC Big Game Country Revell kit and used the grille out of the 1976 Chevy Sport stepside Revell kit. I'm not sure the 76 grille is the same as the 78 but I'm sure they are close...
  18. No problem, need anything else let me know... Nice Casey never thought about doing it that way, if you need it that way let me know..
  19. Thanks guys, I've been keeping my eyes open but ultimately I have to clear anything I buy though him it's his build and money but I'm helping him on locating parts. I have a lot more than him but what I have is minimal. I'm doing some searchs on the ones you all have listed to price shop, you know how cheap us builders are LOL....
  20. I’ll add it to the list of possible donors... thanks the fronts are perfect, I don’t have that kit maybe he can buy one and I can buy so we each have the kit and the wheels.. lol I’ll have to see what I can pic the kits up for if not maybe a post in the wanted section for a trade...
  21. They are nice, but your right a bit deep for this...
  22. I will thanks, thanks for the tip on the S&H kit also...
  23. Thanks for the info, his car did not have the factory wheels but aftermarket one that were just like them. He picked up the kit somewhere and it is the AMT kit. It seems to have very little interior detail and we are considering picking up the new 007 71 Mustang for the dash and such. I never owned one and I'm sure the back windows were tough to see out of however I did have a 2dr Maverick which also had that flat back window and it was a challenge for sure...
