  2. Well your doing a great job ?? Amen preach on brother Kevin....
  3. It was definitely easier than I thought it would be and I think with some practice I can get them pretty good, And I want to thank you Steve for all the info you have shared with me on this and other detail work you have made a huge difference in my knowledge and have been a huge part of helping me step up my builds..... Thank you
  4. I used 2 methods to see which I liked better, first I used a toothpick soaked in lacquer thinner which worked pretty good until the painted started getting hard then it started to kind off peel the paint rather than take it off so I changed up to using a pointed craft cotton swap with lacquer thinner on it to wipe the paint off (very lightly) and that worked really well I thought and will probably be how I do it from now on.... Thanks for all the encouragement and comments guys...
  5. Thanks all, I think I will definetly be using it a lot more Thanks, I picked that color because I had a 1:1 many years ago that was what I called olive green and was very similar to this color... It is a good color for the car though..
  6. I use the Molotow pens a lot also but was never happy with the out come doing emblems and some trim. I would never have gotten this good of a finish with a Molotow pen...
  7. Thanks Guys, I learned a lot on my first shot at it and have what I think will be my technique doing it...
  8. I made my first attempt at using BMF and used it under paint. For my first try I did the emblems on my 69 AMX. What do you think for my first try?
  9. Same in Dover DE, I picked up 6 myself, 76 Chevy stepside, 68 charger, 69 charger, nova ss, Smokey & bandet TA and 90 mustang drag car
  10. Sorry for your loss, loosing a pet is like loosing a member of the family because that's just what they are and never an easy time....
  11. I do that too, it's definitely easier then sifting though the bottles to figure out whats what....
  12. Sorry for your loss but happy for your new found furr baby... We have 4, two sets of siblings. The first set we got out of a rescue, the second set we acquired by there mom and all 5 kittens making a home in our garage, they were only a day or two old when we found them. We found them all homes including mom... He is a beautiful cat, we call ours “our second generation of kids”
  13. The 71 to 73 Mustang have always been my favorite Mustang by far, I just wish if they were going to give a us a new kit it would be something we either didn't have or was very hard to find.
  14. Thanks for all the help guys I think the engine for this project is coming along well....
  15. I think the photo etch parts are going to be the very last thing I do and I'll use my white glue so I can get used to working with the parts a little before I use something stronger. I am going to pick up some of the other glues I've seen here that I don't have to try working with them. I also think I'm going to make up a few of those applicators from the needles that's a great idea...
  16. I know in Delaware the easement is 5ft on sides and rear of the property and 10 ft in the front which gives them 10 feet all the way around the property. It's used mostly for repairs of existing utilities but new stuff also. In some areas the sidewalk is right at the curb and some have what we call a planning strip which is the grass area between sidewalk and curb. In that strip they can do most anything they want...
  17. With out a doubt! I've learned an incredible amount of things since I've joined this forum. My builds have improved a huge amount from what I've learned and improves more every day..
  18. That's ok I have a few I want and I never buy them all at once lol....... What I like more was across the isle which was the evergreen and steel rod and tubing. There is no where are here that carries any of that stuff...
  19. I picked up a bottle of the gorilla gel today when I was out, got a few more things to get then I can test them out to see what I like using... Great info all thanks a bunch...
  20. I have plenty of needles around here I will have to give that a try, thanks I have some mod podge I’ll have to look to see what one I have and add that to my testing, thanks I have some pledge so I’ll definitely have to test it as well That lack of being able to move it is what worries me about CA I rarely get it perfect first shot
  21. The new HL by me opened today, pretty good selection of kits
  22. I'll have to add that to my shopping list, I've decided I'm going to set myself up a little test with different glues that way I can try it out without messing up my car...
  23. Interest, I guess you just dip those in the glue to apply it? Will that damage the painted parts?....
  24. I will put the those q-tips on my shopping list as well as a thin roll of low tack tape I needed some anyway but I'll get some 1/4 inch for that, The knife I use all the time is round so that should help me out some but I will keep in mind to be light on my cutting.... Thanks...
