  1. Yes bumpers, wheels and all trim was done with a Molotow 2mm pen
  2. There are places that do it but I use a Molotow pen a lot, all the chrome on this is redone with one...
  3. I just recently bought my first ones from MAD, nice product and next time I buy some it will be from there as well...
  4. I really enjoy doing the rebuilds and in all honesty every one is different, it depends on who built it. What I mean by that is how much and what type of glue and paint used how well the body was prepped all are factors in a rebuild.
  5. Interesting, might have to save them for a future want list, splurging is right though at 20 plus whatever shipping is... I'll keep that in mind it's always good to know who makes good stuff... Never thought of nail clippers I think I have several of those floating around...
  6. I use mine a lot, you have to be careful about handling it after though it will loose its luster and look like aluminum if handled a lot...
  7. I will definitely have to get one next buying binge, I’ll just fork out the cash and get a good one, somethings you don’t go cheap on although it looks like you can get some pretty nice ones under 10 buck... Like those fiskars, everything I have of there’s is pretty nice
  8. Ok, so basically with the sprue cutter then it would allow me to cut right up on the parts rather then cut them out with a big piece of the tree still on it..
  9. I've never had a set of sprue cutters, I've always used side cutters (what I've always called dikes) and then did my final clean up with the X-Acto knife. Is there any advantage to switching to a sprue cutter over the side cutters? I would think I would still have to finish with the X-Acto anyway...
  10. Another example would be they call the Caravan the first mini van but I personally would say a VW Micro bus is a mini van
  11. I enjoy the restorations better too, for me I think it’s all the years of schooling and years working I had in the 1:1 auto restoration field. I always enjoy that work and the satisfaction of what I accomplished and doing the kits brings that back for me...
  12. It's all good, the info is just what I want. Having seen that I understand what you mean but the kit I'm doing the headers are more traditional and apparently not accurate. I don't have that much in parts to be able to correct it..
  13. You are right, I don't know why I thought it said 454 on it...
  14. ok thanks, I'll do a search for some pics to try to route them better, thanks
  15. I have an older version of that I'm going to rehab and I'm pretty sure it says 454 on the valve covers...
  16. lol no your good info is what I wanted thanks all for the tips, cudos and critiques
  17. I can understand that, I built I believe 10 kits last year mostly box stock so I do expect that number to drop some as I get more detailed, although it does seem like I'm spending more and more time at the bench...
  18. Ok I got you know thanks for the tip... That does make it easier for sure, I'm hoping to find a reasonable way to do these without the added expense. Not that they are that expensive but it all adds up and I have to watch my dollars and sense lol...
  19. Oh ok sounds easy enough, those aren't glued in yet so I will have to try that. Thanks. I'm not off by much in size then, I think I have an old cat5 cable I'll have to see if it fits mine, thanks Thanks, do you mean you use it to make the wires fit tighter?
  20. I think you may be right the caliber at .026 which is a touch to big I think but the smallest I had. I need some smaller bits also but neither are in the budget right now. The blue was intentional, I like the idea of the leg and I think that will come for me but this was my first step. I haven't learned how to do the boots yet and I'm a big fan of making the stuff rather than buying it but that is on my list to work on. Yeah don't ask about firing order its not even close I just mixed them up so they didn't all come from the same side. Oh and the engine is the 426 max wedge from the Color Me Gone 64 Dodge
  21. So what do you all think of my first attempt at spark plug wire holders
