  1. I have several of them also, they come in handy quite a bit.. I’ve ended up collecting white, red, blue, green, black and gold. I use the white, black and gold the most.
  2. I have never heard of that but I must say that is one awesome tip I will try that. Thanks for sharing...
  3. Thank you, I just looked it’s a 1,2 and 4mm I have. The 4 is way to big for most things, the 2 is definitely the most versatile
  4. Yes all free hand, I practiced on some old kits to get used to the tip and the way it flows.
  5. I have a 1mm 2mm and 3mm and almost always use the 2mm. I will use the 1mm in corners the 2 is to big for and the 3mm for bumpers and such. This GTX is a rehab of a kit I originally built 20+ years ago, all the chrome on it is from a molotow pen even the bumpers... The wetter you apply it the better it looks and do it last it’s not handling friendly
  6. Get info guys, did you drill that distributor or cast it?
  7. You would have to add Suzanne Summers 56 T-Bird, it may be a back ground car but it's brought to the front several times. Other than that I would say you have the major cars, and the police car with the rear axle ripped out would definitely be a cool addition.
  8. Oh both great ideas.... I'm going to try both of those when I attack this...
  9. That makes sense I bet it would stink trying to drill it after, good tip I'll have to see what I can do, I have some heavy duty scissors but they might be a little big for this. Anyone have any pics of there looms? completed or while making?
  10. LOL yeah I would have to agree, I was thinking that couldn't be a good way to do it I would think it would be tough to get the detail you want out of scissors? Unless I'm missing something..
  11. I guess I need to save my next can I empty to try it, you just use an x-acto knife to cut it?
  12. Ok that sounds interesting, I’d like to see that done... Ok thanks
  13. What does MCG stand for? Good tips there Brian thanks I’m on a budget for building like a lot of folk so I have to get stuff over time, that’s one of the reasons I’ve always been a fan making as much as possible myself...
  14. I've started adding plug wires to my kits and I think I got the wire size down but I've noticed people using different methods of wire holders and grommets to punch them up. I was wonder how everyone went about securing them and routing them and so forth?
  15. Thank you Kevin and I agree with your statement 100%.. Happy New Year Everyone...
  16. I always saved mine but I did purge what I had years ago when I stopped building but keep them again since I've been back building.
  17. Looks great, I would like to pick that kit up myself. I’ve already done his M Dew Regal.
  18. Very nice!!! I’ve never seen the Pontiac aero coupe in a kit, I like it
  19. Thanks guys, I’ve got to say this is one of my favorite builds to date...
  20. Just finished a trade with JUNK-MAN, Nathan is great to deal with and shipped quick. Thanks Nathan for a easy trade.
  21. I never had a 1st gen but I love the 2nd gen like you said very roomy for such a small car and easy to get in and out of and I'm 6'4" and 280lbs so that's saying something. I've had this one 7 years now and bought it with 49k on it, I just turned 200k on it this past week. I've been thinking about upgrading to a newer used one before they are to old to be worth it.
  22. I use Dupli-color colors and clears for the body, I have used craft paint on one kit and cleared it with Dupli-color and it turned out great. You could also consider using pledge (future) for clearing over the craft paints there is a long thread here about the product read it there are thousands of uses for it. I have used the craft paint on interiors often and when I do I clear it with a water based satin finish clear for the craft paint and I think it comes out well. I'm not as detailed as some as the guys here so I'm sure they can add a lot of info for you.
  23. I have 3 vehicles, my daily driver is a 08 Scion xB that I bought just to drive to work because I commute almost 50 miles each way and didn't want to sell my truck a 05 F150 Supercrew that has 8" of lift and rolls 35/13.50's. And 3rd is a 86 F150 that currently isn't tagged but I bought it from the original owner and it has only 74k on it.
  24. Great build!!! I love this generation of Torino....
  25. Thanks guys, I think he really would have made things harder for Earnhardt. I’ve done DW’s M. Dew regal also and have a few more from that time frame I’ll be getting to soon. Definitely in my favorite time of Nascar
