I've started adding plug wires to my kits and I think I got the wire size down but I've noticed people using different methods of wire holders and grommets to punch them up. I was wonder how everyone went about securing them and routing them and so forth?

I always saved mine but I did purge what I had years ago when I stopped building but keep them again since I've been back building.

I never had a 1st gen but I love the 2nd gen like you said very roomy for such a small car and easy to get in and out of and I'm 6'4" and 280lbs so that's saying something. I've had this one 7 years now and bought it with 49k on it, I just turned 200k on it this past week. I've been thinking about upgrading to a newer used one before they are to old to be worth it.

I use Dupli-color colors and clears for the body, I have used craft paint on one kit and cleared it with Dupli-color and it turned out great. You could also consider using pledge (future) for clearing over the craft paints there is a long thread here about the product read it there are thousands of uses for it. I have used the craft paint on interiors often and when I do I clear it with a water based satin finish clear for the craft paint and I think it comes out well. I'm not as detailed as some as the guys here so I'm sure they can add a lot of info for you.

I have 3 vehicles, my daily driver is a 08 Scion xB that I bought just to drive to work because I commute almost 50 miles each way and didn't want to sell my truck a 05 F150 Supercrew that has 8" of lift and rolls 35/13.50's. And 3rd is a 86 F150 that currently isn't tagged but I bought it from the original owner and it has only 74k on it.

I started this kit about 20 years ago and not all of the decals would stick so it was put away in a box. I pulled it out not long ago and with the help of Goozalot (thanks again George) with a set of decals and now it is finally finished. Monogram 1986 #25 Tim Richmond’s Aero Coupe Monte Carlo

How far off is the wheel base? would I be able to trim the back of the chassis and move the rear axle or would I have to cut it in half and either add or subtract that way?
