Nice job on this pone Brian. Mine has languished in the box some 30yrs now. Now I know it can be built. If you can find the Fiat X1/9 in this series you would enjoy that too.

Always like a good Skyline build Justin. Turned out great. Interior and dash are spot on. I am a big fan of the Gunze paint line too.

I have this kit and its started. Hope mine turns out as impressive as this one. Really like the wheel color. Goes well with the paint. Great job.

Mark, another one of your builds I will be following. I built this one many moons ago. Like Rex said, I found it interesting that they used the Ford MKIV chassis . Some good info there though. I painted mine to look like a Coyote in browns and tans. Its buried somewhere in the moving boxes so no picture. Will be cool to see what you do with it. Nice progress so far.

Matt...I have a 1/18 Diecast (Autoart) and a 1/64 slot car of this car. I would luv to get my hands on this beauty. You did a great job on this by the way. Is it a a resin kit. It is indeed a rare treasure.

Andy....nope...<G>...I have every one of em. Started putting them in display cases way back. Will let you know after I unpack form this last move. Got 90% of them moved but not unpacked yet.

Pierre...this kit is more than likely based off the Stirling Moss/Jenkins car. I remember my build of this very well. It was my 300th completion. (fitting I suppose) I am currently at 862...so it was awhile back. Can't wait to see what magic you put into this.

Very nice presentation Gary. I have long had the Jimmy Flintstone resin but the project has been stalled for lack of a donor chassis. Got a nice set of wheels and tires though. Any idea as what to use. Where is a good place to start for reference. Thanks in advance.

Will be following this one fer sure, Got mine as a glue bomb from a fellow modeler. It all stripped and the parts sorted., Mark, what are you planning on using for an engine. If I recall there are two options. Mine is all packed away as I just moved.

Good save Helmut...very creative. Glue bombs are a real test of a modelers talent. You passed with an A+

I also clean the tops of my jars then wrap some Parafilm around the lid. This forms a very tight seal. You are not cleaning your brushes properly. Squeeze as much paint as you can out of your brush onto a white paper towel. Thin dip the brush in a very strong solvent (do not swish, the solvent needs to stay clean) I use Savograms Paint Brush and Roller cleaner. Its stronger than lauquer thinner. Roll the brush all the way to the ferrule. Repeat until you see very little color on the towel. At least 4-5 times. You can save your hardened brushes by soaking them over night in the Savogram. They need to be tip down. Then clean as normal. You will be surprised at how much paint has gotten up into the ferrule.

I also have the Ferrari 512BB berlinetta and that shares some of the parts to the other three kits too. Look forward to your progress.

Hanjo....I have all three of the Fujimi 1/16 Ferrari's (the berlinetta, spyder, and Konig) despite some of their shortcomings I feel they are decent kits and have lots of potential. Well worthy of your talents. I have one (the konig) well started but will be interested with what you do. I am on hold while I move to a new location.

Brian...had the same problem with the hood decals on mine. Replacing the red stripe is easy. Find some 3M red vinyl decorative tape. Lay some out on a piece of glass and cut it to width with a sharp knife and metal straight edge. (I use a 6" metal ruler) . You can cut this to a hair thin line, and even to the sharp point at the front of the hood. All it takes is some practice. A word of advice when applying the stripe is not to stretch the tape especially around sharp corners as it it pull away. You can also move it into position with a tootpick or similar. When you clear over it , it will stay in position. This is how I fixed mine. Had to do it to both the 1/24 and 1/16 version.

Ian...those spindles look really good. 3D printing wasn't all that available to me when I did mine so I fell back on what I did know. Yours are definetly more correct than mine. Are you going to make them work. Looks possible. Will be interested to see how this turns out.

Very well done. Nice crisp detailing especially on the engine and carbon fibre. Did you use Tamiya TS36 for the red?. Over what base.? The color looks spot on.

Andy...thank you so much for this reference shot. I see some details I can easily add that I didn't know about. That is....after I get all moved and set up again.

It has been my experience with Tamiya that they usually match their decals to their paint line. And LP50 is the match for TS49. So next Tamiya project keep that in mind and follow the instructions. (which you did) And test first, of course. This one turned out perfect.

Pretty cool looking Lexus. I have done this kit but in a different livery. I am wondering about the paint division between the red and silver. Is that a red decal that separates the two colors and did you have to match the paint to the decal. If so you did an outstanding job. It looks flawless.
