1960's Corvair Bertone Concept by Air-Trax
Rich Chernosky replied to Joe Lange's topic in WIP: Model Cars
Joe...never seen this Corvair variation and would luv to add one to my collection. I have posted a couple Corvair projects on here and am working on another now. So i have some parts left over. Cool engine, like what you did with it. This whole project looks like it is coming together. Great work so far. Here is the link to my builds: https://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/171608-a-tale-of-two-corvairs/#comment-2575081 -
80's IMSA Mustang
Rich Chernosky replied to Chinacar's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
There is a way of saving old decals that I have been using for a long time now. But it is not as good as new... Indycals has this set and that is the direction I will be taking. Thanks for the reply. -

This kit was no walk in the park. You really did a great job with it. I built this one many years ago and eventually built the entire line-up. I was never happy with the fit and finish of my project and you just may be the incentive for me to re-visit this kit. -
The passion for cars runs very high here Alex . You will be in good company.

Welcome to the forum Kevin. I think you will be in good company here. You are off to a good start. Those builds are pretty good and you will only get better. Don't hesitate to ask for help. There are more than a few of us who are only too happy to do so. Myself included. -
Mathias...what an absolutely gorgeous paint job. So rich and deep. Excellent photography too. Great job.

Andretti 1988 Lola AMT kit
Rich Chernosky replied to Benfd54's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
Very nicely done. Mario just turned 84...he would like it. -
Mario...another masterpiece. The background, the photography, the model....all done to perfection. As a side note; you might be interested to know how the Miami vice show obtained the white Ferrari Testa Rossa. Sonny's original ride was a black Ferrari Daytona convertible that was really a fiberglas bodied Corvette. Ferrari told the producers if they destroyed that car in an episode they would donate a real Testarossa.

Very nice job on this one John. I like the close-up shots of the detail.

Paasche H nozzle cleaning brush
Rich Chernosky replied to NOBLNG's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Greg...keep looking for pipe cleaners. I have some that work. Also look for the right size Q-tip that will go in the barell. I use these in between complete cleanings. For solvent, Savogram makes a product called Kwikeze Paint brush and Roller cleaner that is much stronger than lacquer thinner. Most hardware stores carry it. It will dissolve acrylics and can be used to restore all your brushes too. A word of caution though, it leaves a residue on your skin and is quite nasty when sprayed. Always wash your hands after using it as it will also absorb in your skin. -

Mario..no matter what you build it always turns out great. This one is no exception. Looks great with your diorama too. Always enjoy one of your posts.

I built this kit many moons ago. Nice to see this variation of it. Really like the interior color. Nice Job

Allan...congratulations on the new house and move. I just moved myself to NY (aarrggh) and relocated 60yrs of accumulation. And especially on having your own dedicated work area which is essential to model work. Your work area will always be a work in progress. Two things come to mind to help you with your work station. Get your compressor as far away from your paint booth as possible. Vibrating a paint booth is not good and compressors exhaust a lot of dirty air. I can help you with a way to vent it outside as there is a window close. If that is carpet under your chair that is a no no. You will never find any small parts (like PE) in carpet. You will spent a lot of time on the floor (trust me on this) looking for parts so cover up any hiding places to make your job easier. Happy modeling BTW..that Porsche was a good choice.

Mark...you really knocked this one out of the park. That paint is super smooth. Great Job

Hello from Connecticut.....
Rich Chernosky replied to Allan31's topic in Welcome! Introduce Yourself
Aaaahh...a modeler that builds the same thing I do. Welcome aboard Alan. We will have much to discuss. A nice collection you have there. -
John...this is coming along very nicely. Can't miss with a Tamiya kit. Really like that interior. It will go well with the body color. I did the spyder and the coupe so long ago (in red of course) but it is always nice to see someone else's take on the same kit. Thanks for posting.
