Thanks GT66 that's where i was having my issues as the exacto blades would slide the slightest and ruin the tape i was cutting.
What you show above helps big time along with the type of tape.
Now it's like that song
Here i go Again
Again thanks for taking the time to show us.
Very much appreciated
Had a real GTA was a real fun car till someone else needed it worse than me.
Wonder where that car ever ended up police never did find it.
Mine was Black with black &gold interior and gold trim/badging/rims.
Bought it with money from an auto accident settlement miss that car.
This is getting good thanks for showing the masking.
Are you cutting the tape into those tiny strips if so what kinda Blade.
Or is the tape that thin ?.
Sorry for all the stupid questions.
@mod3l Lover
Have you tried Walthers Solvaset great stuff for getting decals to conform.
Been using it for years on my ho trains to set the decals into the paint.
Very fine and tiny slits in that stripe and touch the Solvaset it should work wonders.
Just my brain out thinking my mouth again just a thought.
This is not dead will be reviving this build soon will try to post pics soon also nothing has changed since last post, still haven't found my camera yet, did find most of my painting supplies.
More to follow soon.
Looking thru the linked sites above seen the Folgers decals somewhere in there I do believe.
Need to build my Petty's farewell car have the decals and kit just need to finish up a few other project's first
Yes the trailer is from alloy forms casting is fairly bad/rough mostly due to age of the molds that's why it's going to be used as my pattern.
To be redone out of plastic.
The cabs came from Canada from a guy on fleabay that goes by Wreckmodels.
Watch his pricing it varies for the same cab sometimes $7.95 other times as high as $19.95.
I wait till it's low then buy also watch his shipping prices.
Agreed i'm getting to the point where my eyes are leaving me behind and will soon be in the bigger scales.
Guess that's what happens when you treat your body like an amusement park back in the day.
See how these turn out and go from there.
