  1. Hi Sir! Thank you. Much appreciated! CT
  2. Hi Steve! Absolutely fantastic, what a beast. And true to the original. Bravo! I can't help it but smile when I see that you flattened the contact patch of the tires for realism. That is dedicated modeling! CT
  3. Hi Eric! Not a minute too soon! Thanks for the update. Your blend of colors, panel effects and flake effects is world class. I remember your Gremlin. This one will top it, for certain! CT
  4. Thank you Mike. Fully appreciated! CT
  5. Hi Bruce! Well, to adapt the old saying: " The future of this Cobra looks so bright, I need to wear shades". Spectacular shine, bravo! CT
  6. Thank you David! Coming from a very creative modeler, this is quite a compliment. CT
  7. Thank you Bob, glad you like it. Does-that make us beach-bum types? If so, be it! CT
  8. Hi Mark! Thank you for the compliments. Now, if only my wife would direct such comments on me... LOL! CT
  9. Hi Glen! World class detailing and finish, bravo! That grey is very contemporary. You mentionned it is Tamya's lacquer. Is-it spray can (TS) or small lacquer bottles? care to share the number? Just curious... CT
  10. Hi Bob! Clean as a whistle. I LOVE that color. Here's a "café au lait" to you! CT
  11. Hi Michael! I've experimented a lot with Alclad Chrome. If you apply it over a glossy BLACK surface (i.e. Testor's black enamel spray cam), il will likely look chrome. My experiences over WHITE glossy enamel gave a hue much like polished aluminium (might be your objective?). Over a baby blue glossy enamel, il looked more like polished stainless. In the three options, the key is to airbrush VERY LIGHT COATS of Alclad chrome, to prevent a heavy coat that will look like silver paint, that you want to avoid. The pic below is Alclad Chrome over WHITE enamel on the scratchbuilt air intake. Good luck! CT
  12. Hi Jim! Thanks, I'll certainly do some experiment with it! CT
  13. Hi Jim! Very classy, and period correct, bravo! I'm curious about what brand/color you used for the body. It's really subtle! CT
  14. Hi Michael! Wow, what a great mash-up of parts. They all blend seamlessly. But we all know how much work is involved. Bravo! Your free-hand traced "Ohio flames" are very impressive. They remind me of the famous George Lange Deuce built by Bobby Alloway that made the cover of countless mags back then. Yours is of a slightly lighter color. Truly impressive! CT
  15. Hi Tim! Great design, perfect execution, bravo! I can't decide what I like the most: the slick roof transplant, or the unique hue... CT
  16. Hi Francis! Well, just one word: ELECTRIFYING ! CT
  17. Hi Patrick! Please, don't let a critique define your actions. Reconsider... We need all the inspiration we can find in this hobby. Regards, CT
  18. Hi Bob! Very clean, and a clever way to stuff the rear meats into the available space. This is what we call "tight packaging". Bravo! CT
  19. Hi Peter! Wow, quite a trio, triple bravo! Your paint recipe for the roadster is very clever. I have all the "components" in my inventory, so I will certainly replicate your idea on a future build. And that dove grey on the XK is soooo nice... CT
  20. Merci Mario! Truth be told, I was much inspired by a series of illustrations that the great Steve Stanford created for Hot Rod Magazine a few years ago. Mr Stanford was asked: "What would AMC iconic cars look like if the company had continued into production?". He updated the Pacer, the AMX, the Javelin, the Matador and of course... The Gremlin! (see below). Not quite an exact reproduction of his design, but I tried to integrate "molded" bumper caps to the old design. Needless to say, the Pacer is next on my list. I recently found a pristine Johan Promo, and the process is on. More later! CT
  21. Hi Jim! Neat, period-correct, and world class finishing. Bravo! CT
  22. Hi Steve! Very nice, and faithful to the era (the green and the vinyl top). I'm curious: since the Cougar had an inch longer wheelbase than the Mustang, did you have to maodify the floor pan in any way to get the wheels centered, or did-it just fall in place? CT
  23. Hi Gary! Thanks for the compliments. Coming from a master customizer/painter, it's flatterring! CT
