Galaxie trailer. Has anyone biult one?
PintoKING replied to 426 pack's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I wonder what is the "status" of Galaxie Limited. Was the company sold? Will they continue issuing their 46-48 Chevrolets cars? New bodies? (I want a town-sedan body). -
Atlantis Models has bought another lot of tooling/molds.....

The seven Renwall Revival kits: Oh boy, do I HOPE those are gonna be reissued! So that leaves 8 other kits to be reissued.... Lindberg 1/32 cars of 1976-77? -
No, as the "unibody" were the 1961-63 Ford F-100. But still VERY EXTREMELY interesting!
-
1960 Ford F-100. REALLY??? Unibody?? WOW, just WOW!
-
Yes, the "Race Truck" was an International; very few different parts than the "regular" kits; https://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truckkit_instructions/ertl/8039_international/ Then, that one, a Peterbilt, with metal frame; ("Drag Truck") https://public.fotki.com/modeltrucks25thscale/truckkit_instructions/ertl/8040-drag-truck/

Please, PLEASE make it the Lindberg's 1/32 cars, like the Granada, Monarch, Cordoba, T-Bird et all! -
When watching the video of it: Notice at 5:08, the item "8" on the side of the box. Odd, very odd! Says there's a transfer-case... But there is none in that kit. Could it be that there would have been a 6x6 option that would have been available in the original ERTL kit? But a very minor detail; I still want that kit! Now, we need the "log-hauler" version. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/ertl-8014-international-paystar-5000-logger--542763

So the old "Super Van" https://www.scalemates.com/kits/testors-123-supervan--1162151 (which was originaly a IMC kit, used frame-engine-drivetrain from their Dodge A-100 pickup) that mold might still exist? Or was that "Super Van" mold sold to Atlantis? There was a movie made about that van: Would be nice to be reissued; it was made by Georges Barris.... For those who want to know more details about that kit, here's the instructions: https://public.fotki.com/drasticplasticsmcc/mkiba-build-under-c/testors/barris_supervan/1.html#media Yea, this is definitely "off-topic" discussion. Let's get back to the MPC OBS Chevy truck (which I know little about...)
-
To replicate a Mustang coupe, one could use the MPC 1973 Cougar top? Looks the same at first glance...
-
The instructions for it are on Round2's website.

HPI Guy AMT Aqua Rod Van and Boat Build
PintoKING replied to Daddyfink's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
I noticed the "cutaway" under the van's roof, for a "giant sunroof", maybe? Or can we hope for a reissue of the "open road" camper? It sure would be NICE to get that one back! Here's a nice review of an original kit: -

Found the answer by myself; should have checked on youtube hpiguy first; the "optional" hood is indeed included with the police version. -

Separate hood?? Is there a separate hood in the other (recent) issues of the AMT Chevy van? -
Did you notice on the MPC Sod-Buster Chevy pickup; the grille seem to be a separate part from the chrome tree.... Seems to me that there will be other years available. But what year exactly is that Sod-Buster? Oh, how much I'd like to get a square-body Chevy (or GMC) pickup with an 8-foot bed!
-
The "John Player Special Dal....." LLLLMMNMMMAAAAAAOOOOOOOOOFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF!!!!! and it starts to hurt!!! LOL
-
Did you notice? The "Alaskan Hauler" has all the stock parts to build a "stock" W-925. Kinda like a 2-in-1 transport. ?
-
Ohhh, I sooo hope that there will be a kit of the '92 (or so) Chevy pickup with an 8-foot bed!!! King-cab version would be very nice too! "Pseudo" GMC grill would be a nice bonus. And there's hoping for a modified reissue of the '82 Chevy, but with an 8-foot bed! Should I hope for a '68 442 from the '69 442 by MPC/AMT?

My questioning of the inacuracies of the Revell's 351C engine were a bit too early. I now see that the only "problem" is with the timer going THROUGH the inkake manifold; an easy-enough thing to correct when building the kit. My apologies to all involved. PintoKING

That Revell engine looks like a 351 WINDSOR, and not a 351 CLEVELAND engine. The "W" as in WIndsor had the timer going THROUGH the intake manifold, but the "C" as in Cleveland had the timer going directly into the block. A VERY nice kit nonetheless, judging by the pictures. I want one.
-
What an excellent idea! Make a 4-door sedan with that kit (roof-trunk) and the 1965 Chevelle wagon! Now I want one!

JoH... as in JoHan Pro-Stock Comet/Maverick. After all, it was issued under the AMT banner in 1971.... And the molds, IF they still exist, are incompatible with the other manufacturer's molding machines. So need to be 100% cloned.
-
100% cloned..... One hundred percent cloned...... Could it be the JoH.... Nawwww. Maybe?
-
100% cloned from a vintage kit..... My guess is now the MPC Cosma-Ray Corvette.
