Thanks for the advices on the Molotow Jim! I was already aware that Molotow might be applied generously but I now have the confirmation from your experience. Glad to know that we can apply some protective clear coat on top. Alclad is still a good product but it must be handled with care (worn out easily). Thanks, Francis

It's great Jim! The staining effect looks pretty good to me. I bought some Molotow chrome ink few months ago but I didn't used it yet, it seem more resistant that Alclad, is it really the case? Did you applied the Molotow with an airbrush?

Great scratch build model! Rare subject... I do love all these old Dodge (RAM) truck. I was exactly thinking to make one from scratch before I did start my '64 D100 project. Well done sir!!!

It remind me a coworker's truck at my very first job (he sadly passed away few years ago... way too young). That was a '72, same blue paint but without the white underbody accent... a real workhorse... unstoppable! Nice job Dave!!!

Thanks Dave! I do have extra bench time this spring (thanks to the bad weather and COVID-19) so I'll get the D100 going as far I can before I get drowned by all the home works... lol.

Very good job Daniel! I recall using some brake backing plates on past builds and mine were from Replicas & Miniatures Company of Maryland (very nice resin parts). You are detail oriented... it's obvious! Nice update, I do like your project sir!!!

Very nice in Do-Mango orange! This is my favorite color anyway but it's perfect for this car. I build one more than 20 years ago and I had painted it Sublime but I really think your color choice is better. Well done again Thomas!

Nice little truck Mike! One of my neighbour had one back then so it bring back to me some good memories... This small block (360 I suppose) looks accurate and perfect for this truck. Nice stance too!

I recall building this as box stock when I was around 16 years old. My father had painted the body in red using automotive enamel with an old Binks airbrush... good memories! The gold color you have chosen makes a big difference and it's very appealing. Good idea to had removed the front bumper, it really give a more aggressive look. Well done Christopher!!!

Don't worry Mike! I will take anything you will offer even if I think that the builders community lost a lot by losing the trust of such a good builder (and example) like you. The other groups will however continue to learn from your techniques and that's good news for the hobby! Hello guys! Small update on the engine, I made the oil pan from brass in order to add some color contrast. I wanted to make it with this material to mimic the color of some performance parts manufacturer like Milodon that are gold in color. The color contrast will increase as the brass oxidizes over time. Your comments are welcome!!! Take care, Francis Starting with a large piece of brass I did cut a small section of it to begin the machining of the oil pan. Machining in progress. After a lot of sanding and polishing I drilled a hole for the drain plug. I made the other section with a 0.010’’ brass sheet and drilled the holes for the bolts. I also drilled 3 large holes to help the weld to flow between both parts and get a stronger joint. Both parts welded together. Oil pan final. Oil pan final different view. I will probably drill 2 holes on the side to connect the plumbing (braided lines) with the oil pump. Drilled holes match with the ones on the engine block. I will use RB Motion aluminum bolts as final detail.

I have bought some 3D parts few months ago to check the quality (I'm a curious guy...) but I was a little bit disappointed about the rendering for 1/25 scale. The technology behind this is purely amazing and open the way to the production of incredible parts. The rendering however have it's limits but I'm sure that 1/16 scale makes enough difference in size to generate some accurate parts. These parts are rather expensive but worth it when you want to build ultra detailed models.
