Fantastic build Kurt! This is a real style exercise and you nailed it! As others have mentioned, the shadow effect of scallops seems to make them float on the body! The 3D technology is amazing and have tremendous (almost illimited) potential but I think that it still need some improvement in the rendering of very small parts, the technology still have limits. Pretty expensive too...

Nice Mustang Ken! 1970 is my favorite year for the Mustang. An original 429 Boss would command high money at an auction site like Barrett Jackson.

Welcome back to the hobby Joe! This is a fantastic hobby and I hope you will find some relief and satisfaction in the process!

AmericanMuscleFan replied to AmericanMuscleFan's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Thanks Joe! I was wondering if everything's fine for you... glad to see you back. I will move to the fabrication of the bellhousing and the transmission. I'm on a short vacation this week so I do have a little bit more bench time. ? -
Another beautiful gesture which is all in your honor my friend. You are helping to keep his memory alive and this is a true and indestructible mark of recognition ... you have class, my friend!!!

Nice kit, I do have this kit and the Chevrolet Beretta Pro Street and they are very detailed kits with huge back tires. Good start so far Ben!

You're right Daniel, I bought a big lot of used wrist watch and pocket watch parts few months ago and they are very useful. I plan to use some on the drivetrain of my D100 pickup. Sad to know you lost a good friend but you honor him using the hardware he gave you, nice gesture!

Very cool project Roger! Great job on the body, it's like watching a Kindig it Design episode... your attention to detail is fantastic! I always loved the Edsel even if the car has suffer of a bad reputation. Can't wait to see some color on this one of a kind project. Thanks for sharing!!!

With the 2.2T SOHC to the Viper V10, nobody can say that you do have a bias! You're really dedicated to this amazing collection of engines my friend! You do have enough horsepower to bring back the economy to its rails...

I admit that it is one of the drag cars with the color that brings the most questions because it seems of different color with each photo that we can find on the internet. One thing is certain, it's a superb car and the color you have chosen seems to be the best compromise!

Very nice clean job John! Great touch with all the scratch built elements you've made. Convincing rendition of good old utility truck. Well done sir!!! -
Great job on the steering wheel Daniel, the addition of the brass is a nice touch and show again your attention to detail. Very nice generator, did you used a small gear between the flange and the case? If so, nice touch too! Skillful man you are sir!!!

Nice job! Its sleek look makes it look threatening. Well done sir!!!
-
Superb job Jeff! Super clean build and top notch job on the Bare Metal foil on all the moldings. To be confused with the real car! Well done sir!!!

The Beast...KW winch truck
AmericanMuscleFan replied to gotnitro?'s topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
That's a crazy build Jeff! You have tremendous skills and this KW is simply fantastic. I didn't build big rigs since I was 16 years old and you bring me back some great memories. Those big tires remind me of the "6 pack" truck in the TV series Jade Fever. I take my hat off to you sir!!! -
Superb job with the white stripes Roger! The pics are not in the right order but we can see how you did it and the white covers the dark orange perfectly. I can't see any shade of dark orange in the white so you did a very good covering. Will look fantastic when all the decals will be applied. Do you plan to cover everything with clear coat? Well done so far!

Welcome Rich! Hope to see some of your builds soon. -
Nice clean build Jerry! The Comet is less prized than its little brother (Maverick) but I like it too. Is the reptile decal comming with the kit? What is the engine under the hood...I'm curious!?!
-
Very nice and clean build Keith! This kit seem very nicely molded and detailed. Cool to see those headers exiting from the front wheel openings! Well done!!!
-
Very nice Willys Ken! Nice stance and the color is howsome.
-
Thanks again for sharing Daniel! Do you stick the Maid-O-Metal with epoxy or super glue or you just wrap it around the parts? You're a hell of a builder my friend and you ingenuity seem endless!!!

64 Dodge D100 Pickup Pro Street
AmericanMuscleFan replied to AmericanMuscleFan's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Thanks Mike! Coming from an amazing and experienced builder like you, these comments are music to my ears.... The brass was not an usual media for me but I enjoy it more and more due to the fact that it can be welded and as you stated, the color contrast is a must, a subtle touch that will make the difference in a mainly aluminum machined engine. Glad to keep your blood pumping my friend... can't wait to see your next gem, this hobby needs guys like you to keep it alive! Take care, Francis -
Very nice color choice Roger! Your body shell looks perfect and straight! Glad you have a good source for the original color because (like probably most people) I thougth the original color was red. I was probably misslead by some bad internet pics and the fact that the original MPC body was molded in red, was it? Nice job!!!
